to try out. This month, work our Calendula Motif
and once you’re happy with how it works, why not
incorporate it into some of your designs?
DIRECTIONS
Calendula Motif
Base rnd: Ch 7, sl st to first ch to form ring.
Rnd 1 (RS): Ch 1, dc in ring 12 times, sl st to first dc,
do not turn. (12 dc)
Rnd 2: Ch 2, tr in next dc, ch 3, *tr2tog in same
dc and next dc, ch 3, rep from * 9 times, tr2tog in
same dc and next dc, ch 1, htr in top of first tr, do
not turn. (11 tr2tog)
Rnd 3: Ch 5 (counts as htr), 2tr-cl in 3rd ch from
hook, *htr in next ch-3 sp, ch 3, 2tr-cl in 3rd ch
from hook, rep from * around, sl st to 2nd ch of
t-ch, do not turn. (12 2tr-cl)
Rnd 4: Ch 6 (counts as htr, ch-4 sp), *htr in next
htr, ch 4, rep from * around, sl st to 2nd ch of t-ch,
do not turn. (12 htr)
Rnd 5: Sl st to ch-4 sp, ch 3 (counts as tr), [4tr, ch
5, 5tr] in same ch-4 sp, *dc in next ch-4 sp, ch 5,
dc in next ch-4 sp, [5tr, ch 5, 5tr] in next ch-4 sp,
rep from * twice, dc in next ch-4 sp, ch 5, dc in
next ch-4 sp, sl st to t-ch, fasten off.
