Learn with the Classroom
The Classroom is back! If you were unable to attend our fall 2008 or spring 2009 sessions, mark your calendar for this fall. Sessions begin September 18 and run every other Friday through December 4. You’ll learn practical skills from experts in communication, management and sales. Sessions are at Cambridge College at 7:30 a.m. and cost $35 for members, $70 for non-members. Hank Phillippi Ryan to speak at 9/17 WIB Luncheon
Award-winning investigative reporter Hank Phillippi Ryan will be the featured speaker at the September 17 Women in Business Luncheon. She is currently on the air at Boston’s NBC affiliate, where she has broken big stories for the past 22 years. Her work has resulted in new laws; people sent to prison; homes removed from foreclosure and millions of dollars in refunds and restitution for consumers.
Along with her 26 EMMYs, Hank has also won dozens of other international, national and regional journalism honors. She has been a radio reporter, proofreader, legislative aide in the US Senate (working on the Freedom of Information Act) and an editorial assistant at Rolling Stone (working with Hunter S. Thompson).
Her first mysteries, Prime Time and Face Time, were best sellers. Both are being re-issued in July and August 2009. AIR TIME is coming in September 2009 and DRIVE TIME in 2010. Find out more at
