It’s hard to believe your eyes when you see Rick shooting targets (usu- ally balloons) with a single action Colt .45 and/or a rifl e while he’s riding a galloping horse. You would might think that being an expert mounted shooter would be enough for one person, but Rick’s specialty is actually training and competing with gaited horses.

Mari, a Duke University graduate, is a top dressage competitor who has earned USDF gold, silver, and bronze medals; Olympic Sports Festival silver, bronze and team medals; and numerous USDF top 10 horse-of-the-year honors from the U.S. Dressage Federation that range from Training through Grand Prix levels, and Open and All Breed awards. She is known and admired for her spectacular exhibi- tion rides which have thrilled spectators from coast to coast.

With combined experience in aca- demia and horsemanship, Suzanne is a unique talent in the equine industry today. Her motto is improve your horse, improve your life. In 2008 she became the fi rst woman—and fi rst person— to win the Midwest Mustang Challenge in Madison, Wis., riding Jazz, a Mustang she had to gentle, train, and compete on within 90 days, against other top trainers from across the country. Since then three of her protégés have gone on to place in the top 10 in other Mustang Challenges.

While still a pre-teen, Brooke followed in her mother’s (Suzanne Myers) footsteps and became a horse trainer. At the age of nine, Brooke earned the Reserve Grand Championship, Youth Division, in the 2009 Extreme Mustang Makeover at the Eastern Stampede in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
