INTO ACTION WITH THE
Flower Power In Full Bloom
A great, fun party was held in aid of the Daffodil appeal by Feel
The Beat Line Dance Club from Telford, Shropshire. Alan and Barb
Heighway told us: “Two of our younger dancers, Emily and Sophie,
took part in their daffodil hats. We raised £165 for Marie Curie
which we were really pleased with.”
Members and guests of East Coast
Liners in Lowestoft put on their
dancing shoes and raised £1,557
for Marie Curie Cancer Care
at their annual Daffodil
Dance. Norma Read
from East Coast Liners
said, “It was a really
happy night. Everyone
involved put so much into
it, donating raffle prizes and
Annual Support
bringing food for the buffet
table, dancing the night away to all
our favourite dances and music.
We took part in a sponsored
Daffodil Dance to singer Eddie
Grant’s Give Me Hope Joanna
with dancing steps exclusively
choreographed for the occasion
by international choreographer
Chris Hodgson.”
The Line Rangers held their Daffodil dances at Birchington
Methodist Hall in Monkton Village, Kent. Theo Loyla told us:
“This was the third year we have supported the Marie Curie
Cancer Care Appeal and I am
happy to report that
as a result of a raffle,
donations and
sponsorship we have
raised the fantastic
sum of £956.70.”
