THESE UNIQUE FEATURES MAKE THE VSSI CAGE THE PRODUCT OF CHOICE FOR VETERINARIANS 1" Radius vs. Smaller 1/2" or 3/4" Standard Radius
Full 1" radius on all corners makes cleaning easier than other cages (with the traditional 1/2" and 3/4" radius on competitor’s cages). Easier cleaning means less labor and you’ll have less cost in maintaining your cages in a sanitized, like-new condition!
24% Thicker Stainless Steel Construction The selection of a heavier 20 gauge 304 stainless steel as opposed to our competitor’s lighter 22 gauge gives the VSSI cage more natural built-in strength and rigidity throughout.
Formed Threading Easier to Use Than Standard Threads
Formed threading will not cross thread or strip out, a common problem with standard thread usage. Our competition uses standard threads throughout their cages. All mounting points, door and door hardware mounts and corner/trim mounts utilize formed threads within a uniframe system to receive all stainless steel screws. Formed threads prevent screws from loosening with everyday use, thus maintaining a more stable bank of cages.
All 20 gauge stainless steel construction
Strong Double Door Latch Design
Spring-loaded double door latch is designed for security with ease in opening and closing. No center bar support to cause obstruction with the VSSI design.
One-Piece Construction of Corner/ Trim Strips vs. Multiple Pieces One-piece construction of corner and trim strips is easier to clean while providing additional strength and stability. Mounting holes are not slotted like competitor’s trim strips, which enhances the overall stability of a cage bank.
Optional base can be ordered with adjustable feet or casters
Unique “Lap-Lock” Assembly
VSSI’s unique Lap-Lock over-lapping, locking uniframe mounting system allows for a more stable bank of assembled cages. Unlike competitor’s cages where the attachments are only made with corner plates, the Lap-Lock system provides for overlapping and multiple attachment points ensuring an extremely stable cage bank assembly. The Lap-Lock system prevents gapping between upper and lower cages that results from loosened corner plates, nuts and bolts or from uneven floors. When assembling a VSSI cage, the upper and lower cages overlap. Six centered formed threads within the uniframed system are utilized to securely lock cages together. Side-to-side attachment of cages are secured by heavy gauge one-piece corner

and trim strips. These non-slotted mounting strips prevent side-to-side separation of the assembly and are held securely by the uniframe’s form threads. No longer will you experience loosened screws, corner plates and trim strips. The Lap-Lock uniframe system ensures a gap-free, sturdy assembly that does not work itself loose through the rigors of daily use.
