Mission First Tactical, LLC (MFT), developer of select rifl e/carbine acces- sories specifi cally for the military, law enforcement and civilian sport shooting markets, introduced the Tekko Metal KeyMod™ 3-inch and 6-inch Rails and the Quick Detach Sling Mount. T e 3-inch and 6-inch rails are MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny Rails that will mount to any KeyMod™ mounting surface. T e rails are made out of high-quality Type 3 hard-coat anodized 6061 aluminum. T e rails are easy to attach and remove and include a self-contained assem- bly that eliminates the common problem of losing the mounting hardware. T ese Picatinny rails allow for the mounting of mission-specifi c accessories that wouldn’t be possible with the stock handguard. T e Tekko Metal KeyMod™ Quick Detach Sling Mounts are designed for use with the standard push-button quick-detach sling swivel. T e sling mount can attach to any KeyMod™ surface. T e sling mounts are made out of light- weight Type 3 hard-coat anodized 6061 aluminum. T ey are low-profi le, snag resistant and feature a braked, 4-position (360 degree) non-rotating, locking surface. Like the rails, the sling mounts also include a self-contained assembly. Morgan Advanced Materials’ Composites and Defense Systems busi- ness announced the availability of its buoyant, lightweight rifl e plates, capable of stopping 7.62mm rifl e ammunition. Extensive testing has proven that the plates perform well, even under extreme temperature conditions, and are capable of withstanding close multi-hit shot spacing. T e new rifl e plates from Composites and Defense Systems weigh less than 1 kg (2.2 lb) and are just 20mm thick. T ey feature an ergonomic, multi-curve design.
