Claire Bews Fund manager M&G Investments


Claire Bews is a corporate bond fund manager in the fixed income business of M&G Investments, an organisation she has worked for since 2001. Bews manages several large segregated mandates for in- surance companies and pension schemes and has a particular expertise in building and managing credit portfolios to match institutional investors’ cash- flow or liability profiles. Prior to joining M&G, the Cambridge University graduate worked for Barclays Capital as part of the front office credit team. She was appointed a trustee director of the M&G Group Pension Scheme in 2015.


Norbert Fullerton leads Janus Henderson’s institu- tional client strategy business where he is responsi- ble for thought leadership and strategic investment. He provides insight from its clients’ viewpoint, with strategic input into product development, marketing and the overall direction of the EMEA institutional business. Fullerton is an experienced invest- ment consultant to large pension funds and other institutional investors in EMEA. Before joining Janus Henderson, he was a partner at Mercer leading the growth of its Wealth (joint Investment and Retire- ment) Consulting and Solutions business.


Anand Kwatra Investment actuary Phoenix Group Capital


Anand Kwatra has a range of insurance investment experience covering private credit, origination, internal rating and ALM. He is currently an invest- ment actuary at Phoenix Group Capital, which is responsible for the shareholder investment strategy and risk management initiatives for closed life fund consolidator Phoenix. Kwatra is a fellow of the Institute of Actuaries.

Kunal Chavda Director, fixed income bfinance


Kunal Chavda is a recent addition to bfinance’s fixed income team having joined in March. He had spent the previous three years as a senior consultant at Buck Global. His other roles have included stints at Vestra Wealth and Barclays, where he spent more than nine years as both an analyst and portfolio manager.


Celene Lee has been advising trustees and compa- nies on pension scheme investment and financing for almost two decades. She currently manages Buck’s investment consulting business, develop- ing investment propositions and leading advice for clients. Before joining Buck in 2014, she worked for PwC where she specialised in providing corpo- rate investment advice to sponsors of DB pension schemes. Lee also spent time as global head of pensions at Barrie & Hibbert, which provides asset and economic risk modelling expertise to pension investment consultancies, banks, insurers and asset managers.


Dinesh Visavadia is an experienced trustee and chair of trustees for pension schemes and charities. He joined Independent Trustee Services in 2016 and has a background in managing domestic and interna- tional pension arrangements for UK companies. Most recently he was head of pensions and benefits at Britvic Soft Drinks. Before that he was head of pensions at the John Lewis Partnership.


David Weeks Co-chair


Association of Member Nominated Trustees


David Weeks has been co-chair of the Association of Member Nominated Trustees (AMNT) since 2016. He is also a director of a defined benefit pension scheme sponsored by a listed infrastructure services business. Weeks has also served as a consultant or executive for government departments including the Home Office and Department of Trade and Industry. His CV includes business development and market- ing roles in the private sector.
