Waterstone Homes returns to Swansea with stunning new houses
Following the success of Waterstone Homes’ first residential development in Swansea, we spoke with Clare Brown, the company’s Field Sales Manager, about the housebuilder’s brand-new luxury development coming to the beautiful suburb of Killay.
Why have you decided to build your next development in Swansea? Our new development comes off the back of our previous Swansea scheme, Howell’s Reach, in 2016. This original development proved to be one of our most popular schemes to date, selling out within just six months, which is testament to the strength of the property market in Swansea. Since then, we have always wanted to make a return to the area. Swansea is a prime sought-after location with everything you could possibly want and need. From fantastic shopping and dining, stunning countryside, great transport links and good schools, universities and employment opportunities, it’s got it all, which is why we chose to build here once again.
What can you tell us about the development? ‘Copper Beeches’ is made up of nine 4-bedroom private residential family homes, incorporating a mix of semi-detached and detached properties. There are five house types in total, all of which have spacious, modern open-plan living and private drives and garages. With just nine properties on site, the homes are large with ample outdoor space. They are not piled on top of each
other – there’s room to breathe. The development is set in the sought-after suburb, Killay, on the cusp of the Gower and Swansea city itself. Thanks to its location on the city’s outskirts, with its tree-lined streets and surrounding woodland, Copper Beeches has a relaxed, village feel with easily accessible local amenities including numerous bars and restaurants. And with the M4 as well as the train station being only 15 minutes away, it also provides easy access to West Wales and London, offering buyers the best of both worlds. We’ve also worked to make the development more affordable, with lower starting prices than our first city development.
What was the inspiration behind the homes? There is a high level of quality and prestige associated with the Waterstone brand and we pride ourselves on providing high-specification homes with superior finishes. The homes at Killay are designed for modern day living, offering open plan and cutting-edge kitchens compared to many new build competitors. They have also been designed with family life and functionality firmly in mind. Our homes also hold their value on the property market very well. House prices at our first Swansea scheme at Howell’s Reach have already risen by 5% so buying one of our new properties at Killay could be a real investment.
What’s special about the Waterstone Homes client service? We offer a very personalised service and are committed to helping buyers make their home perfect, with several customisable options available for every home. We also offer part- exchange.
What’s happening on site now? Building work has now commenced on site and drainage systems are currently being installed, following the demolition of the original building. The homes are due to be completed and available late autumn and prices will range from £389,995 to £669,995.
As the development is so exclusive, we will not have a sales office on site. We have just started offering private appointments and two of the homes have already been reserved off plan. Brochures are available on request and can be downloaded from the website. We are also working on a virtual reality experience for the development, which will enable customers to take a virtual walkthrough of the properties. With two properties reserved, we only have seven homes available.
