A golf day hosted by Cardiff-based housebuilder Bellway Wales has helped to raise thousands of pounds for a cancer charity. 21 teams made up of Bellway staff, sub-contractors, and friends raised £4,800 at the event, which Bellway have matched. Te event was held at Whitchurch Golf Club, Cardiff, on Tursday, September 12. Te money raised has been donated to Cancer Research UK, Bellway’s chosen charity for the past


three years. In that time, the company has nationally raised more than £1 million for the charity. Billie Oaten, Sales Director for Bellway Wales, said: “We want to thank everyone who attended the charity golf day. It was a great day and we raised money for an excellent cause close to many people’s hearts. “Bellway has a fantastic relationship with Cancer Research UK, and we are very proud to be making an ongoing contribution towards its life-saving


work.” Cancer Research UK is a registered charity dedicated to beating cancer through research and raising awareness, funding scientists, doctors and nurses working on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
