Three New Kubotas

Kubota has just announced the addition of three new 5-tonne excavators to its line-up. The KX060-5, U56-5 and U50-5 feature a larger cabin, enhanced insulation, improved visibility, and new operator comfort features. The exterior of the machines has also been redesigned. The KX060-5 offers a conventional tail swing which can be used in different applications to the U-series. It is also the machine most suitable to heavier attachments, due to the offset of the conventional tail swing weight. The U56-5 is the largest reduced tail swing machine in the range. The U50-5, which will be available from July, is an entry-level machine specifically

aimed at the hire market. Kubota says that its compact dimensions mean it is well suited to working in smaller spaces. Standard features across all three models include a full-colour 7-inch

LCD screen, seatbelt alerts, and the Stage V compliant Kubota engine with CRS and DPF muffler.

The 8cu ft barrow can carry 365kgs and its manufacturer says it will climb up a hill with ease. It is powered by two 12V batteries, providing the equivalent power as its models with internal combustion engines. For extended operation, two extra batteries can be fitted. The steering is

end of the pivot that makes it easier to manoeuvre, and the two powered axles provide direct drive to the wheels, meaning no linkage or chains.
