Beyond the support Dave offers on- site, he has also become involved in international LGBT+ advocacy work with global union IUF. Last year, he joined an LGBT+ delegation representing the UK in Geneva at an IUF conference. This year, the same delegation will travel to South Africa.


Whether it’s on the world stage or on the shop floor, Dave’s talent for bringing people together in support of LGBT+ workers is undeniable.


Back at the Pride event, Dave cheekily spurs on a growing group of workers gathered for the day to eat more cake. 2Sisters worker Mira tells Landworker she’s thrilled that Dave has organised


the event. “We’re a massive, very diverse company, so it’s great to recognise this diversity,” she said.


Her colleague Gloria, agrees. “It makes me feel good to know that everyone here is accepted, no matter who you are.”


Isabella also highlights the importance of an inclusive workplace. “There are so many people who have to hide who they are, even with their family,” she explained. “That’s why it’s important that they feel supported and appreciated at work. We’re all human beings, and everyone should love who they want to love – that should be celebrated.”
