BETT PREVIEW Learning Today, Leading Tomorrow

The education system needs to adapt. From AI and data literacy to critical thinking and assessment, the skills prioritised in the classroom and the way we teach will change.

Embracing personalised learning approaches, supported by AI technologies will allow us to better cater to diverse learning styles and pace, ensuring every student maximises their potential and is prepared for the workforce of tomorrow!

Learning Today, Leading Tomorrow is the 2025 focus for Bett, across the following themes:

• DIVERSITY & INCLUSION: Prioritising inclusion means using accessible technology and design principles that accommodate different learning styles. This approach removes barriers, celebrates diversity and empowers underserved communities to fully participate in learning.

• INNOVATION: Innovation is driving transformative change, accelerating educational outcomes and unlocking boundless possibilities. As AI becomes central to how the Fourth Industrial Revolution progresses into the Fifth, we can harness its huge potential whilst ensuring it’s used safely and responsibly.

• AI: Artificial intelligence is reshaping how we teach, learn and support students in their educational journeys. Let’s empower educators and institutions to adopt AI responsibly, preparing students to thrive in a world increasingly influenced by intelligent technologies.

• LEADERSHIP: Strong leadership in education thrives on experimentation, collaboration, listening and communication. As a community, let’s unite visionary leaders and EdTech pioneers to drive improved student outcomes, fostering a shared goal of better education for all.

• SKILLS: Developing digital skills is essential for educators to make the most of EdTech innovations and to help students thrive in a rapidly changing techn logical world. In the GenAI age, it’s important to recognise how technology can be used in a way that also allows us to spend more time on developing our soft skills and critical thinking.

• SUSTAINABILITY: Education is on a journey towards net-zero with a focus on energy efficiency, waste reduction and the circular use of EdTech. Learners look to their educators to prioritise sustainability across the curriculum and through institutional strategy, setting a positive example for the leaders of the future.

• WELLBEING: Emotional and physical health are the fundamental foundations in supporting optimal learning outcomes. Championing a whole school culture of wellbeing is crucial for happy engaged students and confident supported staff, ultimately leading to improved student attendance and teacher retention.
