The Bathroom Manufacturers Association - the voice of the

bathroom industry The multi-award winning Bathroom Manufacturers Association, BMA is recognised as ‘the Voice of the UK Bathroom Industry’ and making real progress in actively extending this recognition to a wider audience within Europe.

The BMA acts as an information highway between the industry, government and the consumer on all issues that affect the bathroom industry. The association plays a pivotal role in disseminating credible, accurate and relevant information, providing the membership with an early warning of pending change to incorporate into their day to day business, ahead of the game, thus giving a competitive advantage.

There are two important current campaigns, compliance and the development of a single water label for the European bathroom industry. On compliance, the association works closely with installer and merchant associations, raising awareness of the need for the sale and installation of compliant products, which will satisfy consumer needs and meet legal requirements in the UK. Progress on the Water Label is significant. There is now a recognised Water Label, which falls within the European Bathroom Forum that is making a positive advancement towards a Voluntary Agreement.

The association takes its training responsibilities seriously and offers the Bathroom Academy, an eLearning programme for both new starters and people who have been in the industry for some time but would like to refresh their skills.

The BMA also organises the Bathroom and Kitchen Business Conference which is held annually. This event attracts high profile business leaders for thought-provoking presentations, discussion and networking. It has become a not to be missed event for all involved in the industry.
