Event director, SDUK and Printwear and Promotion Live!

seen from some of the big printer manufacturers that there are quite a few new products being announced and a good number will be on display at SDUK.

There are always going to be other shows and

events to work around and potentially compete with, but a healthy calendar of good shows is good for the whole industry. It drives the industry forward to be more innovative and keep pushing the technology boundaries to help customers be more successful.

I presume you are expecting a cross-fertilisation of visitors across SDUK and Printwear and Promotion Live! Are you anticipating much migration from SDUK among those from the large- format digital print sector?

Undoubtedly - this is probably the most exciting aspect for us. Initially we were hopeful of 25-30% our SDUK visitors to attending Printwear and Promotion Live!, however, data from the visitor registrations received so far indicates this could well be around 50%! There is a good opportunity for businesses in sign-making and print to earn incremental revenue from the printwear market. We see the co-location as a real win for the industry, creating a much larger event that offers great value to everyone involved.

I would expect the large-format print companies visiting SDUK to take the time to see what Printwear and Promotion Live! has to offer. There will be some substantial pieces of equipment displayed in that show that would be of interest for those looking to add an additional revenue stream to their business.

What about visitors in the other direction? Do you think many of the ‘traditional’ Printwear and Promotion Live! visitors will now also go to SDUK - and perhaps consider moving into large-format digital printing because of it? Absolutely! Again, data from the visitor registrations received so far indicates that over 50% of Printwear and Promotion Live! visitors will also attend SDUK, so both shows are likely to see a considerable increase in visitors! Customers of our visitors often have a demand

for many different print applications. If you are providing personalised T-shirts or mugs to a fleet company, you may also have the opportunity to sell them some signage and livery for their vans. It makes sense to go and see what is on offer in a market that is potentially so beneficial to your own.

What is your message to those yet to diarise the new-look SDUK, and its sister show? Well, of course, I would encourage you to put it in your diary and to register now for fast-track entry. As mentioned earlier, you have the option of coming on a Sunday if the working week is too busy, and you have a first-ever opportunity to visit two fantastic shows that are relevant to your business. We also have a broad range of presentations and panel discussions at both shows that are completely free to attend, as well as a host of other features, live workshops and amazing exhibitors. A visit to SDUK and Printwear and Promotion Live! will fill you with the knowledge and understanding to support your business’s growth and investment plans for the coming year and set you up perfectly for a successful 2024.
