NEW PRODUCTS AIR CONDITIONING

Eco-conscious air conditioner with advanced air purification, energy efficiency and smart control The Daiseikai 10 air conditioner from

TOSHIBA CARRIER is said to deliver new

levels of sustainability, performance and comfort to homes. Made using 43% recycled plastic components, the Daiseikai 10 also includes a robust suite of advanced features to enhance air purification and user convenience while minimising energy consumption. Motion tracking technology ensures efficient cooling by optimising and directing airflow to occupied areas. A Plasma Ionizer removes airborne contaminants like dust, pollen and other allergens, and the Ultra-Pure Filter effectively traps up to 94% of the most harmful ultrafine PM 2.5 particles like smoke, viruses and bacteria. Designed with comfort in mind, the

unit features a Smart Sensing control function app, which is wi-fi operated and allows users to choose between indirect or direct air flow. It benefits from a 'natural' design with authentic wood

grille, sourced from PEFC-certified sustainable forests. It is also available in white. “The Daiseikai 10 reflects our

dedication to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible for air purification and climate control in one elegant, eco-conscious product,” says David Dunn, MD at Toshiba Carrier UK, Carrier Global Comfort Solutions, Europe. “We’ve ensured easy installation too; all sizes of indoor units are compatible with both Single Split and Multi-Split Condensing Units. Built-in wi-fi and energy monitoring enable trackable performance insights for ongoing

optimisation.” ■ www.toshiba-aircon.co.uk

HEAT PUMPS

Residential cooling and heating system with R32

MHIAE has introduced the Hydrolution EZY range of A2W heat pumps. Designed to deliver heating, cooling, and hot water for residential properties, the Hydrolution EZY is available in two models,10kW and 14kW, providing a low carbon alternative to conventional fossil fuel boilers. The Hydrolution EZY series integrates

advanced technologies along with R32 refrigerant to boost efficiency and reduce carbon emissions when compared to boilers. To simplify installation the new series features an integrated water heat exchanger in the outdoor unit, eliminating the need for refrigerant piping. The unit’s improved anti-vibration

technology reduces sound power levels effectively, including noise to 60dB (A) in the 10kW class model, even when running at full capacity. The addition of a quiet mode further reduces operational noise and ensures compliance with various noise regulations, particularly important in densely populated residential areas.

EIBI | APRIL 2024 The new heat pumps can operate in

a wide range of outside temperatures, from -25°C to 43°C, and can deliver 60°C hot water even when the outside temperature is -25°C, making them a great replacement for combustion- type boilers in cold regions and reducing carbon emissions. The Uplink platform, a dedicated app designed for real-time performance monitoring, is seamlessly integrated with the Hydrolution EZY. This intuitive application not only facilitates the identification of maintenance needs but also ensures optimal efficiency, providing a comprehensive solution for

seamless control and oversight. ■ www.mhiae.com

Discover the energy cost savings

Monitoring Box FTMg Premium is the name of SICK’s compressed air monitoring system that accurately predicts where significant energy cost- savings can be made by fixing air leaks and removing wastage across entire production and logistics facilities. As a digital and scalable service,

it can be used by energy managers and maintenance engineers to make compressed air cost savings of up to 30%, as well as to eliminate manual maintenance regimes. The service analyses and displays

accurate data from Sick’s FTMg multifunctional flow sensors that measure the compressed air usage of machines and processes. Compressed air consumption data is visualised in easy-to- use graphic displays, while alarms can be set up to alert when new leaks occur.

CONTROLLERS

Controller appears to float on the wall

The UTY-RVRY local controller for Airstage systems manufactured by FUJITSU has been designed to seamlessly blend with any installation space. The device is mounted on a frosted panel to create a floating appearance, looking like a mirror when not in use, and information is only visible when it is operational. Coloured LED lighting indicates

different modes of operation and the light can be switched off to eliminate glare at night, suiting it for use in hotel rooms. The screen can also display branding or corporate logos when not in use. The controller is said to be intuitive

to use, with swipe motions rather than buttons. The screen is resistant to smears due to an anti-fingerprint coating and offers visibility from any angle. Multiple controllers can be

programmed via a Bluetooth connection from a smartphone, using the Airstage Remo Set, a free app for technicians to set up wired controllers. Settings from a controller can be downloaded, adjusted

By interpreting the data, leaks and inefficiencies are easily eliminated, users understand their processes better and can make 'round-the-clock decisions to optimise their energy usage. They can make their production processes more sustainable, for example by reducing their CO₂ consumption. The data insights also contribute towards ISO50001 Energy Management certification. The FTMg, which stands for Flow Thermal Meter for inert gases, uses the dynamic calorimetric principle for precision measurement, enabling it to detect even the smallest changes reliably. Its straight measurement channel design ensures highly-accurate measurement with almost zero pressure loss as gases flow through the sensor during

measurement. ■ www.sick.com

or copied to another unit, making installation of similar systems or indoor units quicker and easier. System operating data can be viewed

from the controller, making service and fault-finding easier. This functionality can be restricted via Airstage Remo Set depending on project requirements and to ensure unauthorised users are unable to change system settings. In addition, refrigerant cycle data can be accessed

from the controller. ■ www.fujitsu-general.com/uk
