ive years after the opening of the most technologically-advanced stadium in the
world, Tottenham Hotspur continues to hit sustainability goals through its partnership with Schneider Electric and the company’s revolutionary approach to industrial services. The Club’s Service Plan Membership has
resulted in an impressive reduction in carbon outputs and supports Spurs’ mission to deliver the most sustainable stadium in the world. The 2024 Sports+ Positive League Club Environmental Sustainability Report assesses each UK football club’s policies across several important sustainability categories. Tottenham Hotspur ranked 1st in the Sports Positive report for four consecutive years, and is featured within every category in 2024, proving a commitment to reducing environmental impact across energy, transport, action, commitment and communication. Sitting at the heart of Tottenham Hotspur’s sustainability progress is a bespoke Service Plan Membership from Schneider Electric that is based on the EcoCare membership service. As part of the plan, the stadium receives expert advice, expedited emergency response SLAs, and 24/7 monitoring. This services approach has enabled Spurs to improve overall efficiency of the entire facility to support sustainability efforts, acting as a strong case study to the value that can be found across a wide-variety of industrial applications or facilities. Up to 30% of the energy consumed in commercial

and industrial buildings is wasted and, in the UK, this wasted energy contributed the third-largest
source of CO2 emissions with at least 117 million tonnes generated in 2023. While Spurs represents a vast and complex facility, the stadium’s sustainability can be seen as a call to action for all industrial settings, of any size, to leverage services to improve environmental protection.
DESIGNING SUSTAINABILITY Business owners, design engineers and OEMs can all include EcoCare services as part of their
teams to improve sustainability over the lifecycle of an asset or entire facility. Shifting towards more predictive maintenance
opens sustainability benefits for every industrial facility, whether it is a new site featuring the latest digital technology or an existing facility advancing digitalisation at a steady pace. EcoCare represents a revolutionary services plan, essentially delivering sustainability-as-a-service, that reduces onsite maintenance and planned downtime costs by up to 40% while extending the lifecycle of any industrial asset. Members have access to remote experts monitoring key parameters of asset health through the EcoStruxure IoT platform, who proactively notify and respond using advanced diagnostic tools.
DRIVE TO NET ZERO Downtime will always have costly implications and it will always hinder a company’s ability to remain sustainable. More than ever, industrial businesses are seeing new regulations and targets that require immediate action to reduce carbon emissions - and the fastest way to do that is become an uptime champion. An EcoCare membership is the pathway to optimising operations without any additional pressure on the onsite team. Design engineers, OEMs and operators
will have end-to-end visibility of all assets under management, whether it
operations or alongside the solutions they deliver. EcoCare gathers the best from Schneider Electric’s expertise and digital capabilities, packaged in a unique digital experience that will deliver value at multiple points in the industrial supply chain. Operators and owners alike are under pressure
to minimise downtime that can easily lead to lost profits, wasted resources, and potentially lost customers. The issues of uptime and industrial sustainability are closely linked, with well-maintained assets being considerably more energy efficient. Businesses that are looking to reduce their overall carbon emissions can remove the maintenance drama from onsite
is in-house or at a customer’s facility through a services agreement, extending the value and lifecycle of any industrial asset. Businesses are constantly balancing CapEx and OpEx costs of new equipment and EcoCare membership actively works to lower the total cost of ownership even for entire facilities. EcoCare members benefit from best-in-class
digital services enabled by EcoStruxure IoT architecture and priority access to Scheider Electric’s experts.
