code examples if it was possible to consistently produce better recommendations for remediation than using GitHub Copilot. A systematic approach was used to evaluate code violations in 1,856 open-source repositories using an AI-augmented commercial static analysis engine. Te static analysis checkers included in the configuration were a combination of security rules from the CWE Top 25 as well as MISRA rules. Te violations found were placed in a dataset, including static analysis checker ID, filename, file location, violation message, checker description and, where applicable, code flow traces.
