Last month we were lucky enough to travel to Malta for this year’s edition of SiGMA Europe and it was a great first experience. Beginning the morning with a scenic ferry ride in the sun to the exhibition centre was definitely a personal highlight (and I now expect nothing less from future exhibitions). Despite attending a number of exhibitions this year, the size and effort that goes into the stands always seems to amaze me, and it was great to meet so many industry members and reconnect with some familiar faces. Following our trip, we put together a SiGMA Europe Review featuring a selection of key exhibitors and their thoughts on the show. A notable mention in the review is Slotegrator who provided some interesting insights from the show and for the new year ahead. Slotegrator commented on current and emerging trends surrounding security, cryptocurrencies and player retention strategies and they are truly evident throughout this issue.


As 2023 comes to an end, in this issue we have also included a brand-new feature compiling our top slot game picks of the year. The chosen slot games have been selected for their stand-out themes, mechanics, bonuses, graphics and rewards, and it’s great to celebrate the creativity and innovation within the sector.
