Rite-Hite passes major milestone in loading bay safety
Rite-Hite, the Loading Bay safety business, has passed a major milestone in Loading Bay safety – the delivery of its 20,000thGlobal Wheel-Lok system in Europe. The news follows soon after the company
announced that manufacture of the award- winning system has also commenced in Germany to serve its European customer base. Proven in market for more than 20 years, the Global Wheel-Lok is designed to secure any
type of trailer to the Loading Bay, preventing well-known incidents such as vehicle creep (‘dock walk’), and accidents caused by a vehicle leaving its bay too early. Traditional wheel chocks tend to be unreliable, especially in poor weather conditions, and are
often not strong enough to prevent a vehicle from pulling away unexpectedly. They also require someone to physically manhandle them into position and remove them after use.

ESAB launches high-performance, multi-process welding systems
For enhanced multi-process welding capabilities and portability in harsh industrial environments, ESAB Welding & Cutting Products has introduced its Aristo® 500ix inverter-based welding power source and Robust Feed Pulse and Robust Feed U6 wire feed systems. The Aristo 500ix provides outputs for MIG/MAG, flux cored, MMA and TIG welding, offering maximum output of 500A/39V at 60 percent duty cycle. Paired with Robust Feed Pulse or U6, users can weld with solid
wire up to 2.0 mm and cored wire up to 2.4 mm. These feeders offer a 50 mm dinse terminal on the back for connecting an MMA electrode holder, while the Robust Feed U6 also enables gouging from the wire feeder. They have the industry’s only IP44 protection rating against dirt and rain, a heat kit to keep the wire dry and connection designs that prevent the cable and hose from shearing.

manufacturing excavators, dump trucks, dozers and loaders for a global market,” says Hart’s chairman, Doug Hart. “We have been involved since the 1980s. Such a large facility brings with it many challenges such as the need to ensure an efficient flow of large vehicles associated with production.
This is a fast-moving, highly efficient, business where safety and reliability are paramount. Though our doors are a small part of the highly efficient facility, which so far has produced over 60,000 units, we play our part through delivering doors that take account of the environment and daily usage,” says Mr Hart.
