PACKAGING MAKER UPGRADES ASSEMBLY LINE FOR MAXIMUM VERSATILITY AND CONFIGURABILITY
TRANSFORM ASSET HEALTH PREDICTIONS INTO ACTIONABLE WORK ORDERS
R
ockwell Automation has added cutting-edge, generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) prescriptive work orders to Fiix Asset Risk
Predictor software, creating the first complete predictive and prescriptive maintenance solution to help manufacturers eliminate unplanned downtime. Fiix Asset Risk Predictor’s powerful AI can be set up in as little as two weeks and starts predicting asset failures days in advance. With the addition of Fiix Prescriptive Maintenance, it now features GenAI capabilities that transform failure predictions into detailed, actionable work orders for maintenance teams. Work orders are generated using asset
data, completed work orders and trusted maintenance sources. Teams can then review and edit work orders, and instantly push them to any computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) or enterprise asset management (EAM) tool. All data is kept completely private and protected by the highest security standards.
producer of sustainable, reliable corrugated paper and cardboard packing that supplies retailers and manufacturers throughout Europe. When the company decided to upgrade the human-machine interface (HMI) on one of its key production lines, it was seeking a solution combining reliability, ease of use, and versatility. The Allen-Bradley OptixPanel Standard
R
Graphic Terminal from Rockwell Automation was selected because it integrates seamlessly with the latest FactoryTalk software. The displays provide high-quality, high-resolution graphics and an intuitive configurable interface. Engineers were able to quickly connect and configure the OptixPanel Standard Graphic Terminal, getting the assembly line up and running in a short time. Using the graphic terminal’s secure remote
access features, the engineers from Hax Technologies were able to complete much of the configuration without being on site. Hax
ockwell Automation has announced a successful collaboration with Swedish OEM Hax Technologies to upgrade and optimise the human-machine interface for Kinnareds Well.

Technologies has since used the same feature to provide remote support as part of a long-term service contract with Kinnareds Well. Kinnareds Well also leveraged the panel’s built-in web server, giving staff access to the HMI from other locations without the need to buy extra panels. “The combination of the OptixPanel Standard
Graphic Terminal’s ease of configuration, its versatility and the advanced remote access features meant it was both easy to configure and easy to get the best possible performance from the assembly line,” says Peter Nilsson, automation manager at Hax Technologies and team lead on the Kinnareds Well upgrade project. “We’re very pleased with the upgrade,” says Kinnareds Well CEO Peter Syrén. “The combination of the easy-to-use interface and the advanced remote-access features have helped to improve the operator experience and to maximise productivity.”
“Smart visualisation solutions are an important
technology that can help empower workers,” adds Asa Arvidsson, regional vice president sales, north region, Rockwell Automation, who is based in Sweden. “We are proud to help support this project with Kinnareds Well.”

“With Fiix Prescriptive Maintenance, you
can turn asset data into the predictions and work orders you need to drastically reduce unplanned downtime, boost operational equipment effectiveness (OEE), and make better use of resources,” says Sandy D’Souza, senior director sales, Americas, Fiix by Rockwell Automation. “It also helps close the maintenance
knowledge gap, ensuring everyone has access to detailed asset and work order information, whether they’ve just started their career or have decades of experience at a company.” By bringing together AI-powered
predictive maintenance and actionable GenAI work orders, Fiix Asset Risk Predictor ensures manufacturers see results in the fastest time possible. Fiix Asset Risk Predictor, now including
Fiix Prescriptive Maintenance, can be purchased and used independently from the Fiix CMMS or seamlessly integrated with it. It can also be integrated with any CMMS or EAM your company uses.
