Interoll to Showcase Special Hygienic Conveyor at the PPMA Show
Leading global provider of materials handling solutions, Interroll, will be showcasing its cutting-edge Special Hygienic Conveyor (SHC) for food processors at the PPMA Show. The SHC has been designed to
Nothing is as small - Nothing responds as fast
When an application requires a temperature sensor with rapid response times - the Semitec FT micro thin film SMD thermistor, available from ATC Semitec, can be regarded as the gold standard, outperforming similar products due to their miniature size, exceptionally fast response time and high heat resistance. Our FT is a unique ultra- thin NTC thermistor sensor mounted
on a 150 micron ceramic substrate. Its unique construction and miniature format (size down to 0201) enables placement of the FT onto a heater or power component surface. Quickly sensing very rapid rates of temperature change
(Tc <0.5 sec) they can offer engineers the very best chance of sensing, controlling and protecting their application. The FT is widely used in personal care, glucose monitoring
patches, security devices, in-cell battery applications. ATC Semitec is the UK’s leading thermal component distributor, contact us for advice and samples..

Solutions from Ruland Beam couplings for robotics applications
Ruland beam couplings are ideal for surgical, warehouse, and industrial robotics due to their increased torque and torsional stiffness and ability to accommodate all forms of misalignment. Ruland manufactures four-beam couplings for encoders and six-beam couplings for light-duty power transmission, such as connecting a stepper or servo motor to a lead screw. This allows robotic designers to design a standard beam coupling into most systems. Ruland machines beam couplings from a single piece of aluminium or stainless steel for a zero-backlash design and maintenance-free service life. Multiple sets of spiral cuts enable the couplings to handle all forms of misalignment – angular, parallel, axial motion, and complex – through frequent starts and stops. The multiple-beam design also allows for higher torque and torsional stiffness. Ruland manufactures beam couplings in 7075 aluminium for low inertia and 303 stainless steel for increased torque capacity. The beam couplings are offered with a clamp or set screw hub attachment with inch, metric, and inch-to-metric combinations ranging from 3 mm to 20 mm.

Looking for a safe and economical alternative to welding? Then German manufacturer SANHA may have something for you. The press systems “Heavy Steel Press” and “Heavy Steel Press Gas” for thick-walled steel pipes offer a fast, easy and reliable solution with several industry-firsts.
The high-quality press fittings have a special sealing ring with a 200% larger surface than usual. This ensures permanent tightness even with remaining surface imperfections. A grip ring and a spacer protect the o-ring and provide additional stability.
Heavy Steel Press is suitable for all heating, cooling, sprinkler and compressed air systems. The Gas variant can be used for gases (d’oh!) or heating oil applications.
Both are ideal for industry, commerce and residential construction. The range currently includes dimensions from ½ to 2 inches. The operating temperature range is from -30 to +120 °C (20 to +80 °C for gas).

enhance food safety and operational efficiency while meeting the stringent hygiene compliance requirements of food processing companies. Manufactured in the highest
quality stainless steel for durability, resistance to corrosion, and easy cleaning, all components of the conveyor system are also waterproof to at least IPX5 certification. Hilton Campbell, managing director of Interroll UK said: “After a year away from the PPMA show, we are back
with something very exciting to present to the market. The SHC is a premium product based on our proven long-lasting technologies. For food processors and manufacturers we’ve gone a step further to deliver a robust conveyor that offers the absolute premium in hygienic operations. “The SHC’s smooth surfaces, rounded corners, and open-frame designs facilitate easy cleaning. Coupled with
our highly hygienic drum motors that do not allow water ingress, there is no better option for food processors that are committed to the safety of their product. “We are very much looking forward to showcasing the SHC to OEMs, system integrators, engineers and end-
users that are seeking a first-class conveyor product.” The SHC features a modular design, allowing for easy customisation and scalability. It integrates seamlessly
into existing production lines and can be configured with ease. Its Zero Pressure Accumulation feature, a first for the food sector, ensures quick and smooth conveying without product contact, enhancing efficiency and reducing environmental impact and operational costs by up to 50%. Get ready for peak season with Hyster
While peak seasons are great for business, they can put stress on materials handling operations. Even if production is keeping up with demand, if you haven’t planned effective movement of goods, this can lead to inefficiencies, and delays for end customers.
Towards the end of each year, many manufacturing businesses enter a period of high demand. For some, such as those manufacturing packaging, the run up to Christmas drives greater need for their products. Others may be working hard to meet year-end production targets. Sometimes, peaks in demand are completely unpredictable and unexpected when they arrive.
Meeting the challenges of peak demand for your materials handling operations requires careful preparation, and the right lift trucks. Here are five ways to get ready to step up for peak season with Hyster.
