INDUSTRIAL COLLABORATES WITH ANALOG DEVICES

O’Neill Industrial has signed a Channel Partner Agreement with Analog Devices (ADI), which will drive sales and enhance support initiatives for ADI OtoSense SMS, its Predictive Maintenance Smart Motor Sensor (SMS), in Ireland and Northern Ireland. ADI OtoSense SMS is an AI-based, full turnkey

hardware and software solution for condition-based monitoring (CbM) of electric motors. As companies strive to optimise their

manufacturing and production operations, they are seeking better control and monitoring of various assets including motors. ADI OtoSense SMS detects anomalies and defects in motors, enabling the ability to forecast maintenance cycles and avoid unplanned downtime. As a result, companies can increase machinery productivity, reduce downtime and maintenance costs, and extend asset lifecycles. Speaking about the agreement, Kevin Carlin, Vice

President of OtoSense AI at Analog Devices, said: “Leading organisations are adopting Industry 4.0 technologies and elevating asset management as a core component of their operational strategy. Our collaboration with O’Neill Industrial means we can meet the demands of customers on the ground faster.” O’Neill Industrial will leverage its relationship with major manufacturers in Ireland as well as its staff of sales and support personnel across the country to accelerate the adoption of the ADI OtoSense SMS. Austin O’Neill, of O’Neill Industrial, added: “With

50 years’ experience in servicing the Irish industrial market with cutting-edge equipment, we are ideally positioned to exploit the rapidly growing demand for IOT devices such as the Smart Motor Sensor for condition-based monitoring of electric motors. As industry harnesses the power of Industry 4.0, we look forward to bringing this crucial technological development to industry.”

He said: “The demand for scalable automated solutions, not only in the grocery sector but also in e-commerce, apparel, food and beverage and manufacturing is growing at a rapid rate. In this role, my focus will be on helping the sales team to provide the right systems, software and support to our UK and Irish customers during this exciting, and sometimes challenging, period of change.”

THE SEMPRE GROUP OPENS NEW FACILITY IN DUBLIN

The Sempre Group, the single source metrology specialist, has opened an office in Dublin to provide its customers, in sectors such as medical and aerospace manufacturing, better access to its product ranges and services. The Sempre Group first expanded into Ireland in March 2020 by introducing metrology specialist Jason McGlynn to the team as Commercial Manager. Since then, the Irish team has expanded to include Service and Application Engineer, Paul Cullen, and is now opening a permanent office to further support Sempre’s Irish customers. The new 180 square metre office will allow the Irish team to carry out contract

measurement services locally, cutting down the number of days that can be lost by shipping from Ireland to England. The office will house metrology equipment, such as the Micro-Vu range, Gelsight technology and the Opticline range, in its showroom so customers can have demonstrations and see the systems before purchasing. The showroom will also act as a training centre for Irish manufacturers who require more detailed system knowledge and understanding. “The new office in Dublin is in in touching distance from all of our existing Irish customers and just 15 minutes from the local airport,” commented Mr McGlynn. “The accessibility of our site will hopefully encourage more customers to pop in and let us truly understand their metrology needs in person. “Sempre’s Irish division is a one-stop-shop for metrology solutions, so our manufacturing customers should find everything they need to improve data collection and ensure they are compliant with regulations. Going forwards, I hope to see our Irish team continue to expand as Sempre invests in its Irish customer base.”
