ADVERTORIAL TECHNOLOGY IN ACTION ESAB launches

high-performance, multi- process welding systems

for extreme environments F

or those who need enhanced multi-

process welding capabilities and portability in harsh industrial environments, ESAB Welding & Cutting Products has introduced its Aristo® 500ix inverter-based welding power source and Robust Feed Pulse and Robust Feed U6 wire feed systems. The Aristo 500ix provides outputs for MIG/MAG, flux cored, MMA and TIG welding, offering maximum output of 500A/39V at 60 percent duty cycle.

When paired with Robust Feed Pulse or U6, users can

weld with solid wire up to 2.0 mm and cored wire up to 2.4 mm. These feeders offer a 50 mm dinse terminal on the back for connecting an MMA electrode holder, while the Robust Feed U6 also enables gouging from the wire feeder. They have the industry’s only IP44 protection rating against dirt and rain, a heat kit to keep the wire dry and connection designs that prevent the cable and hose from shearing.

years’ experience serving a broad range of customers in the food and beverage, factory automation, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, from small independents through to multi-national manufacturers. Michael Murphy, Managing Director at PSI explains

the reasons behind the addition of the Elmo Rietschle brand to its portfolio. “We have in-depth knowledge of all aspects of

compressed air technologies and factory automation and in recent years, have received increasing numbers of enquiries looking for vacuum system solutions as the Irish market continues to grow in this area. “We already work with many major product

manufacturers to offer our customers the latest pneumatic technologies. So, we wanted to be sure that our new vacuum system product offer would meet our customer’s expectations for high quality and reliability backed by rapid parts’ supply and on-site support.

lmo Rietschle has appointed Pneumatics and Sensors Ireland (PSI) as an advanced level distributor in Ireland,

“The Elmo Rietschle brand is renowned within the

industry for its durability and performance and is an ideal addition to the range of services and solutions that we can offer to our valued customer base.” John Fleming, Sales Manager at PSI, who heads up

the company’s vacuum systems’ division added: “We can now provide the full spectrum of Elmo

Rietschle vacuum solutions, from a single pump through to a more comprehensive system solution, either bespoke-designed or off-the-shelf. “In particular, we are seeing an increase in demand

for oil-free solutions in food and hygiene-critical applications. Here, the new Elmo Rietschle VLR claw pump is proving popular. “These dry claw pumps run without the need for

lubricating oil and offer significant energy saving and high efficiency compared to the traditional rotary lobe blower designs without internal compression.

SafetyCulture captures real-time risks to protect people and assets in the manufacturing industry

platform for workplace safety and efficiency, SafetyCulture, continues to deliver practical solutions. SafetyCulture is making it even easier for manufacturers to remove points of failure, focus on core tasks and capture anything that raises concern. Tightening regulations and increasing social scrutiny are

A

driving companies globally to invest in automated systems to help identify and mitigate risks to their business. Already, more than 75,000 individuals worldwide are using SafetyCulture’s flagship product – iAuditor a mobile inspection app – to complete daily COVID-19 inspections. SafetyCulture’s new products - Sensors and

Incidents - are launching in line with safety becoming 30 SEPTEMBER 2020 | IRISH MANUFACTURING

s the world grapples with getting safely back to business following lockdown, the world’s leading

the world’s number one business priority and its Safely Back to Business initiative. Instead of physical monitoring of environmental conditions, and manually inputting results in a physical or digital form, SafetyCulture’s sensors enable workers to connect the sensors and data feeds through the iAuditor app to; monitor conditions like temperature and humidity levels in real-time and be alerted when things go out of range and respond instantly. Similarly, the launch of Incidents allows team

members to capture anything that raises concern in the mind of the worker, such as property damage and personal injury. Teams are empowered to be proactive in identifying and resolving risk and becoming active players in protecting people and property.

For the last 14 years, SafetyCulture has led the market

in mobile-first safety, quality and operational inspections. Its Chief Operating Officer, Alistair Venn, is confident these latest launches will not only support businesses with safety but also their growth: “We started work on these new products long before

COVID-19. We knew that giving our customers a clearer profile of their organisations would give them the ability to get ahead of problems and their competitors. The top down compliance model is broken. We’re giving teams the tools to communicate more fluidly so they’re agile and ever-ready to react.”
