NEWS Dublin’s Manufacturing & Supply Chain Exhibition returns!

The 2022 National Manufacturing Conference & Exhibition will be held on 25 and 26 May at the Citywest Convention Centre in Dublin. Incorporating a comprehensive conference programme and an extensive exhibition area displaying the latest technological solutions and business services available, the show is one of the largest events of its kind in Ireland. Currently in its ninth year, it serves as a national forum for manufacturers and operators involved throughout the associated supply chains from across Ireland – North and South – to gather to discuss pressing issues facing Irish industry. It is now firmly established as an All-Ireland ‘must-attend’ annual event, which successfully connects key stakeholders across the full spectrum of Irish manufacturing, including the food, drink, pharmaceutical, medical, chemical, life sciences and electronics sectors. Irish manufacturers are currently facing serious challenges due to disruption to supply chains and markets caused by Brexit, the Russian invasion of Ukraine and soaring energy, transport and raw materials costs. This year’s National Manufacturing & Supply Chain Conference & Exhibition will highlight these key trends and challenges while also offering practical solutions, as well as showcasing the latest innovations, developments in best practice and new technological advances. In addition, the organiser of the event, Dublin-

based Premier Publishing & Events, is assembling an impressive line-up of manufacturing leaders, academics and government agencies who will engage in a stimulating blend of key note addresses and debates. Visitors interested in improving the

performance of their business can listen to case studies and technical presentations from leading global and local manufacturing experts, and meet with providers of cutting edge technology.

Not only this, but there are several complementary events under the same roof. The co-located events this year cover sectors including: Automation & Robotics; IOT & Industry 4.0; Medtech & Biotech; Pharmaceuticals & Life Sciences; Supply Chain & Logistics; and Sustainability. Visitors are free to move between the different events. Registration is now open at www. manufacturingevent.com.

Helping manufacturers achieve sustainability and business goals

Emerson is hosting a series of Innovation Days to provide process industry and manufacturing companies with valuable insights into how advanced automation software solutions can help maximise environmental sustainability and business performance. The free-of-charge events will demonstrate how the latest industrial

software and systems can drive the digital transformation of operations, leading to increased operational efficiency, uptime, safety and profitability. The Innovation Days – two of which will be held in Ireland, in Dublin on

21 June and in Cork on 23 June – feature a broad range of presentations from industry experts addressing the use of advanced diagnostics to monitor the health and performance of instrumentation and control technology, simple ways of transforming data into actionable insights, and analysing the efficiency of machines. Other topics include the use of cloud-based SCADA to monitor remote assets, improving reliability and safety through corrosion and erosion monitoring, and leveraging machine learning technology to optimise plant control. “Through our extensive portfolio of innovative software solutions, Emerson is able to generate business value by implementing data management, monitoring and control architectures that provide actionable
