Flexible expansion options – with a modular system
Is the size or range of functions of your gas detection system out of date? Then you need a solution that can either grow with your plant or can be updated flexibly. Ideally, you do not have to stop the production process or shut down a whole unit for an extended period of time – but only to install the necessary new components.
your challenge: keeping the gas warning system up to date
An extension to the existing production unit or the acquisition of new cooling tanks - there are many reasons to adapt an existing gas warning system to the changing requirements of your industrial plant. Often the responsible persons realise that the size of the existing gas detection system does not fit the new requirements, or the range of functions does not meet the increased needs. In this case, a tangible solution would be to expand the functionality of the already installed components – for example by adding additional relay or gateway modules.
the dräger solution: a system that grows with your demands
The Dräger REGARD 3000 can be expanded by an additional relay or gateway module. Depending on the desired range of functions or size of the system, you can extend it with input and output modules 4-20 mA/HART input, relay output, gateway output. In this way, the system remains flexible and grows with your plant. The modular gas warning system can be equipped with a maximum of one input module, one relay module and one gateway module. A further advantage: for the necessary adjustments, you do not have to shut down the production process for a longer period of time.

If you have a REGARD 3000 and additionally the REGARD 7000, you can connect both systems. Get an overview of all systems and control as well as configure them centrally. Simply use the REGARD 7000 as client. It can

be connected to the REGARD 3000 systems via an Ethernet cable connection. Networked in this way the client can acquire, control and configure the REGARD 3000 units as satellites.

You already have a control cabinet or control station for your production process control system and would like to integrate the gas detection system there? Or you need a small gas detection system that can be easily integrated into your building? With the Dräger REGARD 3000 it is possible to integrate the docking station directly into a control cabinet and to mount the operating unit on the control cabinet door.

In the event of an alarm, every second counts - but it is also useful to be able to see the status of the gas detection system at a glance. The Dräger REGARD 3000 makes this possible with its status light. Different colours clearly indicate whether everything is in order (blue), whether there are malfunctions (yellow) or whether alarms are pending (red). In addition, it can be seen immediately whether the alarm is active (flashing red) or has been acknowledged (continuous red light). This way, everyone on site is informed about the system status and daily checks are also made easier. The integrated horn and the SIL2-capable contacts of the REGARD 3000 provide even more safety.
