• Pack bulbs safely for transport: Keep bulbs intact and wrap them in paper or card (or use the original packaging) to reduce the risk of breakage on the way to a drop-off point. • If a fluorescent tube or CFL breaks indoors: Ventilate the room immediately, keep people and pets away, and follow your council or HWRC advice for safe clean-up and disposal, as these lamps can contain hazardous substances. • Businesses: Treat waste lamps as controlled waste and ensure the correct paperwork and processes are in place.
