This year’s National Painting and Decorating Show took place on 26-27 November at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry. DIY Week reports from the busy event that was well attended by professionals from across the trade

s usual, this year’s show was bristling with new product launches, hands- on demos, theatre sessions, show-


only deals, free samples, how-to information, competitions, raffles, prize draws, sporting challenges and celebrity guests. With a theme of ‘Build a Better

Decorating News provided visitors with plenty of tips and information to help maximise productivity and profitability.


Plenty of freebies On each day of


the show, the


first 1,000 visitors to arrive each received a free DecoBag goody bag packed with products donated by exhibitors. The ever-popular lucky dip buckets made a welcome return, offering every visitor the chance to dip their hand into the bucket and win some great gifts and useful promotional items.


Following their successful debut last year, the two Decorative Effects Theatres were back in action again for 2019. Visitors were able to watch and learn from the professionals about the latest decorative effects


and how to achieve them. The two open ‘Master Class’ theatres situated right in the centre of the exhibition featured experts giving presentations and demonstrations of some of the latest products, trends and


techniques driving today’s decorating industry.


Show highlights Axus Décor had a really interesting stand
