Adlink launches AI-enabled smart camera forAI machine vision deployment

A

dlink Technology, a specialist in edge computing, has launched the new NEON-2000-JT2 AI-enabled smart

camera series to make machine vision deployment for AI-based factory automation easier. Powered by NVIDIA Jetson TX2 AI modules the new smart camera series features all-in-one design, a small footprint and a pre-installed vision software set to reduce the complexity of AI machine vision development and integration. The NEON-2000-JT2 helps increase

production efficiency in labour-intensive manufacturing industries such as food and beverage, consumer packaged goods, farming and agriculture where quality insurance and inspection are critical to production success. One customer leveraging an Adlink AI machine vision solution for product inspection was able to inspect 50x more product and achieve a 95 per cent inspection accuracy, 3x more than previously possible. Adlink expects customers to see even greater results with the NEON-2000-JT2 series.

Factory Business and Product Center. “Our current PoC customers are really enjoying the pre-installed integrations with other camera manufacturers, such as Basler, and combined GPU module integration which is helping to save development time.” The NEON-2000-JT2 is designed with

“With our new all-in-one AI smart

camera series we’ve done some of the AI machine vision development and integration already so customers can focus on production efficiency,” says Kevin Hsu, senior product manager of Adlink’s Smart

ease of use in mind. The AI-enabled smart camera includes sensor and GPU module integration, FPGA based DI/O design, a pre- installed deep learning software set and ready to use sample code for quick vision application development. Its safety certified by both the CE (European Commission) and FCC (United States Federal Communications Commission), and validated for shock, vibration and temperature stability for worry-free reliability as well. The NEON-2000-JT2 series is optimized

for various AI machine vision applications including product classification and defect inspection.

FLIR RELEASE NEW BLACKFLY S MACHINE VISION USB3 CAMERA

first to integrate the Sony Pregius S IMX540 sensor with 24.5 MP at 12 FPS in a USB3 camera. The combination of the Blackfly S feature set with IMX540’s high megapixel (MP) count and fast imaging enables engineers and researchers from biomedical to semiconductor industries to inspect more in less time and with fewer cameras required. “OEM machine designers, engineers and

F

researchers rely on FLIR for high quality, full-feature machine vision cameras,” says Paul Clayton, general manager, components business at FLIR Systems. “With this latest Blackfly S model, we continue the tradition of combining the best technology with world-class support to empower our customers to achieve their objectives faster and at lower costs.”

22 September 2020

LIR Systems announced the availability of the new FLIR Blackfly S visible spectrum camera module, the

doubles the pixel density of earlier Pregius sensors while taking advantage of lower cost and more compact lenses. Delivering 24 MP, 12 FPS Sony Pregius distortion-free imaging of fast-moving targets, the Blackfly S enables faster production lines even for very detailed inspection. The Blackfly S also delivers high quantum efficiency and low read noise allowing shorter exposure times, and therefore less powerful lights are required resulting in lower lighting costs.

CUSTOMISATION The FLIR Blackfly S BFS-U3-244S8M/C-C is available for purchase globally today in colour and monochrome versions through FLIR and authorized FLIR distributors. FLIR will also release additional Pregius S sensors on GigE and 10GigE interfaces later this year. Founded in 1978, FLIR Systems is an

industrial technology company focused on intelligent sensing solutions for defense, industrial, and commercial applications.
