Wyevale Garden Centres has announced that two transactions for a total of six centres has been sold to garden centre groups Hillier Nurseries Limited and Otter Nurseries Limited. The four centres: Cheddar, Dorking, Marlow, Lechlade will
be sold to Hillier Nurseries Limited. The two centres: Jack’s Patch and Taunton will be sold to Otter Nurseries Limited. Wyevale Garden Centres has said the deals are

Evergreen takes to TV screens
with new £3.5m ad campaign Getting ahead for the key spring season and Easter break, the garden care company has launched its latest advertising and multimedia marketing campaign, with four TV commercials designed to communicate the key messages and product benefits of the company’s most tried-and-trusted brands to millions of consumers across the country.
The TV campaign supports Evergreen Garden Care’s powerhouse brands,
Miracle-Gro and Roundup and will run from late March until the middle of June and aims to help consumers “unlock their love of the garden” with the help of these well-known brands.
The TV schedule features a wide mix of TV channels including ITV, Channel 4
and various Sky channels. The ads will run between popular programmes, such as Emmerdale, Jonathan Ross and The Voice, as well as key sporting events, such as Formula One, The Euro Qualifiers and some Premier League matches.
The TV advertising is part of Evergreen Garden Care’s multi-platform consumer
campaign for 2019, which includes PR, print, social media, video on demand, SEO, PPC and engaging in-store POS and displays; all focused on converting consumer interest into sales.
The garden industry digs deep for Garden Re-Leaf Day
Greenfingers has said Garden Re-Leaf Day on 22 March was a success, as the garden industry and charity supporters came together to create a thriving day of activities and fundraising events. Whilst the final total is yet to be announced, it has been confirmed that over £50k has already been pledged. The current total raised for The Garden Re-
Leaf sponsored walk is £12,000 and Greenfingers has said this figure is rising. Over 120 people from garden retailers,
suppliers and manufacturers along with teams from outside the garden industry walked a sponsored five, ten or 20-mile circuit through the Buckinghamshire countryside on the annual Garden Re-Leaf Walk. Starting and ending at World’s End
