Q-Nect Lever connectors and connection boxes from Unicrimp


Unicrimp, part of the Scolmore Group of companies, continues to expand its comprehensive range of cable accessories and this year introduced a new category of products to its portfolio.

arketed under the new Q-NECT brand, the range comprises lever connectors and connection boxes. The range brings together a selection of products that work in conjunction with each other to provide installers with strong, quick and reliable solutions that will off er them versatility when carrying out their everyday tasks.


A total of ten products make up the full Q-NECT range, which comprises: 2, 3 and 5 way lever connectors. Suitable for solid, stranded and fl exible cable types. They use screwless spring clamp technology, which means there is no need for any tools.


IP66 weatherproof junction box. Designed to make installations more


effi cient. It can house four of the 3 Port Lever Connectors using the 360° detachable cradle and with a curved lid, it provides additional space for wires.


IP connection boxes. The range comprises a 4 Pole 2 Way 24A IP68 inline connection box; 4 Pole 3 Way 24A IP68 (M16+M20) connection box, and 3 Pole 2 Way 16A IP66 connection box.

Wireless heating controls from Sangamo


With wireless technology now seen as the preferred technology for heating and plumbing contractors, Sangamo has seen a rise in demand for the wireless room thermostats it off ers in its Choice Plus range.

ontractors can install them more quickly, without the need for hard wiring the thermostat – making them the perfect replacement for older wired thermostats and a great opportunity for contractors to upsell to their clients. The Sangamo Choice+ wireless programmable room thermostat is designed for controlling heating systems via an electronic sensor. It operates via wireless communication between the thermostat and receiver and is 24-hour or 7 day programmable. It regulates and maintains a desirable temperature through the home by calling for heat as the temperature varies through the day. For example, if the temperature drops below the set temperature the thermostat calls for heat from the boiler, heating the radiators until the set point is reached. It offers a TPI (Time Proportional and Integral) control feature to ensure a maintained temperature by analysis of the heating and cooling periods. In addition, it includes Optimum Start and Delayed Stop for additional efficiency, heating and cooling for the time programmed.


These features combine to offer the best in heating comfort and energy efficiency when compared to traditional on/off thermostats. Other features include:
