Keep calmand carry on F
Hamilton’s Bristol manufacturing plant continues to support supply chain partners
or over 50 years, family-run British electricals business Hamilton Litestat has been supporting electrical
contractors, installers, interior designers and specifiers with all their electrical wiring accessory needs. And it has been no different this year for the one-stop-shop solutions provider. “We have been extremely fortunate to be able to
make swift adaptions and safely operate during the difficulties everyone has faced in the past months,” explains Gavin Williams, sales and marketing director at Hamilton. “With much of our manufacturing taking place at our headquarters in Bristol, we have been able to take control, make the appropriate changes to ensure social distancing is maintained and continue the swift manufacture and delivery of equipment. It has enabled us to carry on supporting our supply chain partners and our customers whose work and deadlines continue.” With the company’s vast range of decorative
wiring accessories produced at its Brislington factory in Bristol, the distribution of parts around the UK has continued. “It’s been really important for our electrical contractor clients that this service continues,” says Gavin. “Many are working on large residential or commercial properties and although work may have slowed, the projects still have a deadline to meet. We’re seeing this in the hotel sector in particular, as businesses are undertaking refurbishments ready to welcome what is hoped to be substantial business and many guests in the coming months.”
Rocking the Wide Switch look Featured in the catalogue and set to be in demand for use in both residential and high-end hotels are the recently-introduced Wide Rocker Switches. Available across five Linea CFX collections – Duo CFX, Georgian CFX, Perlina CFX, Rondo CFX and Scala CFX – as well as Hartland CFX and Sheer CFX, it’s a design trend that has been influenced by the Asian market. Available in 12 metallic finishes, including popular
Bronzes and Brasses, as well as Gloss White, the Wide Rocker Switch wiring accessories cater for all interior design schemes as well as configuration requirements, including 1, 2 and 3-gang switches, 1-gang Push-To-Make (PTM), Double Pole and Intermediate Wide Rockers.
Cost-conscious screwless design Now, more than ever, clients will be wanting to make their budget work harder, and Hamilton’s Hartland G2 was developed with that in mind. This screwless push-to-fit plate has been value engineered to provide a screwless look at a box-fix price. The plate is produced from pressed metal

rather than cast, with this manufacturing method contributing to an overall cost saving without compromising on either the quality or finish. The Hartland G2 is perfect for high use areas of
hotels or homes, as once the back plate is wired the front plate can be easily removed for a décor refresh. Once the wall is painted or papered, the plate simply pushes back into position. It is available in 10 on-trend finishes, including
sought-after metallics Polished Brass, Satin Brass and Etrium Bronze, along with Matt White and Matt Black that have seen a recent boost in popularity. Inserts are available in White, Black and New Quartz Grey, while a dual 2.4A USB configuration option comes as standard.
Flawless coordination For those looking for a perfect colour match, Hamilton’s Paintable range provides fantastic flexibility. These plates can be pre-painted to exactly match a wall paint colour, or can be primed ready to paint on site. If matching doesn’t work for your project, the plates can be painted in a contrasting colour that highlights other elements of the décor or soft furnishings.
Project-perfect solutions Meanwhile, the utmost in flexibility is offered with Hamilton’s Bespoke service. With the support of Hamilton’s design team, plates can be tailormade to meet any design, finish or configuration requirements. Hotel Indigo Cardiff is one of Hamilton’s satisfied customers, which now features plates with a European SCHUKO socket alongside a dual USB 2-gang switched socket. This service is particularly popular within the hotel sector to ensure guests receive the level of service they expect from their stay, with Hotel Indigo Cardiff’s plates designed to be more welcoming to European guests. “We pride ourselves in offering the highest
quality standards – both in products and in service. We have a team in place to support any installation or product questions, as well as our design team to develop and deliver bespoke solutions for all residential and commercial projects,” adds Gavin Williams. “All our solutions come with long guarantees, so you can fit and forget, safe in the knowledge that you have Hamilton’s support should it be needed.”
