n 2023, meanwhile, a total of 20 companies joined the Recolight WEEE scheme.


A leading UK WEEE compliance scheme for the lighting industry, Recolight takes on responsibility for its members’ WEEE compliance. Their customers are given access to the UK’s most comprehensive free lamp collection and recycling service, helping to ensure that as many lamps as possible are kept out of landfi ll. Recolight is also the only WEEE compliance scheme in the UK to provide integrated lamp and luminaire collection and recycling. It has the biggest UK-wide network of collection points for all WEEE lighting. Since its founding in 2007, Recolight has funded the recycling of over 370 million lamps, LEDs and luminaires - more than all other UK WEEE schemes put together. Commenting on the organisation’s record membership growth, CEO Nigel Harvey said: “The number of producers joining Recolight is a testament to our shared environmental credentials. At Recolight, we are committed to providing a comprehensive recycling and reuse service for the customers of our members. Windsor, ERCO Lighting, Future Designs, Holophane Europe, Light Projects, Lucent Lighting, Performance Lighting , RDF Lighting Power and Control , Shoplight, Silent Design, T.R. Ventures T/A Ultra LEDs, Tridonic UK

The Recolight WEEE scheme now has 220 Producer Members - the largest number since Recolight was founded in 2007. They range from the world’s largest lighting companies to small start-ups.
