Pikolinos announces new management T
he Pikolinos footwear brand has appointed a new General Manager. Francisco Sánchez joins the company
with the aim of consolidating Grupo Pikolinos’ international expansion and confidently addressing the challenges of global efficiency in its next phase. This comes as the brand said it is
entering a new stage aligned with its upcoming Strategic Plan and in line with its commitment to sustainable growth and management excellence. “After several years of direct leadership
by the Perán Bazán family, Grupo Pikolinos is starting 2026 with a new step towards a more structured General Management with the appointment of Francisco Sánchez,” the company said in an update. An engineer by training, Mr Sánchez specialises in strategic innovation,
operations, marketing and finance, having studied at some of the world’s most prestigious business schools. He brings over 30 years of experience in leading industrial companies, driving transformation processes, growth and generational change. “We hope this marks the beginning of an

BFA Chief Exec to step down in June T
he British Footwear Association (BFA) has announced that its CEO, Richard Shetliffe, will be stepping down from his
role in June this year. This comes just two years after he joined
the Association, following the departure of Lucy Reece-Raybould before him. Under Mr Shetliffe’s leadership, the BFA
has continued to play a pivotal role in supporting members on key industry issues, while also attracting new partners and members througha programme of engaging events, monthly member calls and webinars. The Association said that Mr Shetliffe
leaves with strengthened governance processes, improved financial stability, and a well-positioned organisation for continued growth and future success. Jane Wilson, Chair of the BFA, commented:
“The Board are delighted with what Richard has achieved during his time with the BFA. We are sorry to see him move on and wish him well with the next stage of his career. The Board has now commenced the recruitment process for a new Chief Executive Officer.” Commenting on his departure, Mr Shetliffe
said: “I’ve had a great time at the BFA and I am proud to be leaving with the Association in a strong position for the next CEO to take
