Pavers Foundation surpasses £2 million in donations T
he Pavers Foundation, charitable initiative of comfort footwear retailer Pavers, has recently surpassed the huge milestone of £2 million in donations.
The Pavers Foundation is an employee led initiative and those across the entire business are encouraged to nominate good causes, including: food banks, grassroots sports clubs, voluntary organisations, care centres, ventures in disadvantaged
communities, health research centres and playgrounds. Mark Granger reflected on his time as Chairman of the Foundation over the past three years, he said: “We are proud that in less than five years, we have managed to reach the fantastic milestone of granting over £2m to causes close to the hearts of our colleagues. It is a privilege to work for a family business that gives back to colleagues.”

he 2024 exhibition season kicks off next month when Footwear Today Live returns to the National Conference Centre (NCC) in Birmingham on Sunday 4 February and Monday 5 February! Once again we will welcome a whole host of footwear suppliers and retailers for another successful buying event, with hundreds of brands coming together to network and liaise with footwear retailers from all across the UK.
The event will occupy nearly the whole of the NCC, as it has grown
founder Cathy, assumes the role of Chairman of the foundation from January 2024 onwards. He has been instrumental over the past few years in donating over £400,000 of medical and emergency aid to Ukraine.
Mr Paver commented: “The foundation is one of the strategic pillars of our business and allows us to give back to the communities in which we work. So many of our colleagues are passionate about
local charities and our donations allow them to make a difference to causes close to their hearts. “I am looking forward to taking over chairmanship of the foundation and continuing the great work of Mark and the team, to ensure we continue to make a difference with every pair of Pavers shoes sold.”

The following weekend, the London Shoe Show takes place – a must-attend event for anyone in the footwear business. Retailers, buyers and merchandisers from across the footwear and fashion industry will convene on Sunday 11 and Monday 12 February when the event returns to the ever-popular Copthorne Tara Hotel Kensington with hundreds of brands coming together in the capital city to network and do business. Also in February, Harrogate
Fashion Week opens its doors to celebrate its 10th edition! Running from Sunday 4 to Tuesday 6 February, in total 180 brands will be on display at the Harrogate Convention Centre. HFW welcomes over 45 new brands in 2024, including Accessories by Park Lane, Able
Conde, Mon Cheri Occasions, Bari Jay, Closet London, Enrico, Grenouille, Holbrook, Lazy Dogz, Maloka, Marie Mero, Max and Ellie, Pont Neuf, RedGreen, Richard Designs, See Saw, Wear Colour plus many more.
