Name: Lisa Preston Shop(s): ShoeMed

How did you get into footwear? Tell us about your background and your current business? When I was 25 and living Australia, I was introduced to the wonderful world of comfort and specialist footwear, and I have enjoyed (so far) a 25 year career in this. Living in Australia, I was fortunate enough to be trained in the field of Pedorthics in the Australian certification system. I came back to live in the UK in 2011 and decided to open a shop specialising in this area retail footwear, offering a service for people with problematic, painful, and hard to fit feet.

Where are your premises located and how many people do you employ? Do you have a high turnover of staff? Tell us about your shop(s), the local area, your customers and their requirements?
