The educational programme at Smart Manufacturing Week 2025 has been developed in response to extensive research around the critical challenges facing manufacturers and engineers. Seven Solutions Theatres will cover a range of topics coming from that research, including Digital Transformation, Industrial Data & AI, IIoT & Connectivity, Design & Innovation, Automation & Robotics, Leadership & Strategy, Maintenance, and a new Technology Showcase Arena. Each of these theatres will deliver practical, actionable insights that manufacturers can
apply directly to improve their operations. For readers of Automation, robotics are a
strong theme and making its mark on the show are inviting visitors to step into the arena and take control of their ‘AccuBots’; miniature, get hands-on with precision components, CAD design and 3D printing while battling it out in the ring. It’s a bite-sized taste of the larger AccuBots competition, designed to champion engineering creativity and showcase the role of miniature mechanics in modern manufacturing. Attendees should head to stand 5/H60 to professional showdowns throughout the day. Innovation Alley is one of the show’s most dynamic areas, where early-stage companies and cutting-edge start-ups unveil the ideas and technologies set to shape the future of manufacturing and engineering. Located within Smart Factory Expo, it features start-ups and university spinouts, each bringing something speak directly with the innovators behind them. The event blends a dynamic mix of innovation and a lively atmosphere, creating an engaging experience that goes beyond
business and technology. Live music will set the tone from the moment visitors arrive, with performances throughout the event, including a Baby Grand Piano busking spot. The popular Guitar Legends competition invites attendees to showcase their musical talent, with a custom 3D-printed guitar awarded to the winner. To add to the festival atmosphere, The Shadow Monkeys will deliver their high-energy hits at the visitor ensuring a memorable experience for both industry professionals and music lovers alike.
