SUPPLEMENT Robotics and Automation 2023
Boost your business
effi ciency! T he sixth Robotics and
Automation exhibition will once again bring many of the leading names in robot development and automated solutions together under one roof, showcasing the latest innovative technologies and discuss the challenges facing modern industry. Ehibitors range from manufacturers of automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and robots like Locus Robotics and AGVE, to developers of 3D manufacturing simulation software like Visual Components, and food & drink specialists like Brillopak. Picking robots, packing systems, plug-and-play products and more will all be on show.
Over both days of the event, Robotics
and Automation will also host a dedicated conference which will see 20 expert speakers present their view on a wide range of topics.
Lucas Systems, the company that always draws a large crowd to its technical presentations, will show its solutions for improved warehouse and production processes. Its pallet-matching and path- optimisation solutions aim to eliminate unnecessary movements and streamline picking processes. Show attendees can pit against Jennifer – an Al system that Lucas Systems describes as the brain of its robotics operations – to see whether they can manually optimise picking routes more effi ciently. This Al technology, combined with path-optimisation algorithms, can save valuable time in the picking process, reducing the travel required by warehouse staff when carrying out tasks.
Also at the event will be Rotherham- based IPL, whose tote boxes for home shopping delivery have become very sought after.
“Ocado uses our tote boxes for its storage and delivery systems and we manufacture for Amazon and several other big companies,” said Kevin Youens,
automationmagazine.co.uk
Head of European Automation Plastic Container Sales and Product Development at IPL.
This particular
off ering has a special connection with the exhibition, explains Youens: “We actually launched it at Robotics and Automation several years ago and, since then, we’ve extended the product range.” At the event, KNAPP will show its Pick-it- Easy Robot that features AI to enable rapid self-teaching. This is is available in the Robotics-as-a-Service category, allowing it to be operational within days. Autostore’s automated storage and
retrieval system harnesses the power of robots for 24/7 order fulfi llment within a cubic layout so dense it can actually quadruple storage capacity and unlock the true potential of storage fl oorspace. Dexory will present its state-of-the-art
robotics and AI solutions to drive better business decisions. Its fully-autonomous mobile and modular robot, MIM, measures, tracks and fi nds goods across warehouses without workfl ow disruption, and provides real-time data at every stage of the process.
iFollow will be showing its compact,
fl exible and reliable collaborative robots. Being one of the thinnest cobots around, it is only 17cm high yet lifts up to 1500kg. iFollow also off ers a robot range for cold chain, operating in temperatures down to -25°C.
RARUK Automation will be showing a range of automation solutions including cobots, autonomous mobile robots and industrial robots, as well as automated warehouse storage and feeding systems. It’s worth noting that Robotics and
Automation 2023 is moving, both in terms of the venue and the time of year. This year it will take place on March 28th and 29th at the NEC Birmingham – a venue that allows the event to grow, with many more exhibitors and visitors. Also this year, the event will be co-located with IntraLogisteX, a show focused on warehouse and distribution centre technologies. With a wide range of factorv and
warehouse automation on show, this will be an ideal opportunity to pick up tips and solutions to make vour business thrive. Products include robots & robotic systems, automated assembly machines & systems, parts handling equipment, conveyors and materials, industrial automation control, and more. There are also live demonstrations of the latest solutions throughout the exhibition, so visitors can get fi rst-hand insight into how they work in practice. Invest in your future by visiting the show, which is free to attend for qualifying professionals.
