Recruiter, Robert Walters, has conducted a survey in which half of women claim opportunities are not made available to them in the workplace. A third surveyed claim that work and family commitments act as a key barrier to progression within their respective industries.
Statistics from the Global Engineering Capability Review show that lack of available data hampers action on safe and innovative engineering. Countries are struggling not only with the quantity of skills, but quality too, and the UK are lagging behind in the supply of skilled engineers.
