Southern Manufacturing & Electronics 2020 returns to Farnborough from February 11th to 13th. The exhibition will bring together a diverse exhibitor list covering everything from high- tech machine tools and automation to components and subcontract services

he range of system components on display at Southern Manufacturing &
Electronics is vast, and covers everything from motion control and power transmission to power supplies as well as cabling systems. Some of the better known suppliers returning for 2020 include igus UK, with its range of polymer bearings along with machine accessories, and motion specialists Hepco, which will be demonstrating its GFX Hepco Guidance for Beckhoff XTS (eXtended Transport System). Hydraulic and pneumatic components
on show include quick-connect solutions from CEJN UK for all types of media from compressed air to hydraulics to ultra- high-pressure hydraulics amongst others. Lee Products will be showcasing all three ranges of its fluid control components; Microhydraulic, Industrial Microhydraulic (IMH) and its Electro-Fluidic System of miniature chemically-inert, solenoid valves. ESI Technology specialises in pressure measurement, and its Silicon- on-Sapphire (SoS) sensor technology offers excellent insulation properties, performance and repeatability. At the show, visitors will also see the GD4200- USB which makes pressure measurement simple and portable, reducing the need for expensive data loggers. Another well-known name returning for
2020 is BCAS, a specialist in compressed air together with vacuum systems, as well as the UK distributor for manufacturers including CompAir, Hydrovane and Elmo Rietschle. KNF Neuberger designs and manufactures OEM vacuum pumps, air compressors, and liquid/metering/dosing pumps. All of its pumps are 100% oil- free and designed for quiet, reliable operation. In addition to its standard range, it provides customer-specific solutions and is able to tailor its pumps to suit individual requirements. Rowse will be demonstrating the Festo MSE6 selection of intelligent energy efficiency modules, used to continually measure,

process industries include x-ray and metal detectable PTFE plastics by Röchling Plastics that have been formulated to be quickly and easily found with conventional detection hardware, and so are suitable for use as sealing elements, scrapers, nozzles, supporting plates, guides and conveying elements in food and pharmaceutical production lines. Magnaflux will showcase its range of Liquid Penetrant Inspection (LPI) and Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) solutions for non-destructive testing. The range includes fluorescent and visible penetrants, cleaners, emulsifiers, developers, penetrant inspection equipment and penetrant rinse water treatment units. The MPI range includes fluorescent and visible magnetic particles, contrast paints, water bath additives, cleaners, test benches, mobile test units, magnetic yokes and UV lights. Other equipment likely to be of interest
to process engineers includes enclosures from the likes of CamdenBoss, GSM Valtech and Hitaltech. Several designs of sealed enclosures, including the IP68 1557 desktop or wall mounting family, will be exhibited for the first time within the UK by Hammond Manufacturing. Southern Manufacturing is also an
important showcase for subcontract service suppliers, with every kind of knowledge on offer from design, to wiring along with box build to EMC testing. Wiring specialists IEW will be showcasing its higher level box builds, power boxes along with PLC controllers. The firm has been developing relationships with software developers in the PLC industry to provide a total solution for PLC equipment together with integration. iDaC Solutions provide high performance data along with control cabling systems for industrial
environments together with enterprise networks. Its range includes screened structured cabling systems along with fibre optics, industrial grade enclosures, modular power distribution systems, control & robotics cabling along with modular containerised data centres.
