Interaction, inspiration and insight are the themes of this year's expo at EDS, and Hitaltech is aiming to cover all of these when it showcases its Conex-it brand of PCB-mounted screwless terminal blocks and connectors. "Improved vibration resistance makes the Conex-it range ideal for applications
where vibration is constant," explains Hitaltech MD, Andy Fitzer. "In addition, the simplicity of installation cuts assembly time."
The company will also be displaying numerous ways in which it is helping to cut the cost, complexity and
time involved in assembly. Since Hitaltech last appeared at the EDS the company has introduced a range of added value services such
as full colour printing, loom assembly and kitting. "Legends and colour have been available for some time on terminal blocks and can be enormously helpful
in improving wiring accuracy" explains Fitzer. "But the process required repeated layers of single colour pad printing or the use of sticky transfers, both of which were labour intensive and costly. Now, our full colour connector printing capability means we can make accurate assembly and wiring quicker, easier and much more cost effective." Stand L48

ODU - not your average connector company O
DU will be showcasing several new additions at the Engineering Design Show.
Developed from the well-established ODU-AMC® [Advanced Military
Connector], the new ODU Threaded Connector utilises a screw-locking- with-rachet mechanism [half-turn locking] and is intended for applications requiring additional security, or where pressure/vibration could be problematic.
The ODU-MAC® modular rectangular hybrid connector transmits signals, power, high-current, high-voltage, coax and other media such as air, fluids, high-speed data or fiber optics – all in one interface. New to this range is the ODU-MAC® RAPID a split-shell housing giving a host of intelligent internal options and also a High-Current Module, with a load up to 225 amps and operating voltage of 1000 volts. ODU are a 'problem-solving' connector manufacturer, working closely with their OEM customers to develop both
connectors and packaging, providing cost-effective solutions to the problems of modern-day electronics. ODU UK Ltd.
