systems in mobile and off-highway equipment. In particular, the demand to replace traditional hydraulic devices with a new generation of electric actuators that offer high levels of power-density, far greater max. force capacity, energy efficiency, safety and reliability. This is a complete system with all the components that are needed

to drive and control linear motion in mobile machinery fitted with a 24V power source, with either analogue or CAN-bus standard controls. At the heart of the system is the company’s advanced modular electric actuators. These are designed to be used with a wide range of high- performance motors, gearboxes and end attachments, all of which are supplied as part of each kit. Each kit will include all the connectors, cables and mounting attachments needed for simplicity of installation. According to the company, the e-MOVEKIT looks set to transform the way in which electric linear actuators are specified and used by OEMs, providing a plug and play option for the replacement of traditional hydraulic cylinders, while helping to reduce design and commissioning times.

zero-maintenance solution that is simpler, cleaner and more controllable than hydraulic alternatives. In addition, they have features or options for: • Shock dampening to protect electromechanical components from impacts common on warehouse and factory floors as well as other mobile applications in which hydraulics are traditionally used. • Manual brake release and override, which enable backdrive under load, and can be valuable for machine maintenance or situations where emergency lowering is required or beneficial.

• Up to 1200mm of stroke, which is 20% more than comparably priced hydraulic cylinder options. • Regen capability, which reduces energy consumption in battery- powered industrial applications by enabling motor torque to charge the battery. Regen also extends the time between charges, allowing more movements from a single charge. • Brushless motor technology, which enables high duty cycle by virtually eliminating wear on motor components. Brushless technology also contributes to the Electrak XD’s high controllability. • Onboard intelligence that enables ease of use and programmability.

The HTF series ball screws feature a special groove profile and a

grease-retaining A1 seal that avoids any contamination of the immediate environment with lubricant. These can also be equipped with SRC (Smooth Return Coupling) for fine screw leads or an end deflector recirculation system for medium leads, accelerating feed speed and reducing noise. Thanks to the HTF series

ball screw, NSK managed to extend service life by 50%, and increase uptime and efficiency. By requiring fewer ball screw replacements, the company is saving  99,128 per year and benefiting from reduced unplanned failures and lower maintenance costs.
