rankfurt am Main, 03 March 2024. The winners of the Designplus Award by Light + Building have been announced: eleven outstanding solutions that
demonstrate excellence in innovation and design have prevailed from well over a hundred submissions. The award ceremony took place on the first day of Light + Building at the Design Plaza. Today, eleven winners were honoured with the prestigious Designplus Award. An independent jury consisting of industry experts Amandus Samsøe Sattler (ensømble studio architektur, President DGNB e.V.), Annika Egloff-Schoenen (Managing Director, Fachverlag Dr. H. Arnold GmbH), Katja Winkelmann (owner of Licht 01, Lighting Design), Ulrike Brandi (Managing Director Ulrike Brandi Licht) and Stylepark (magazine & platform for architecture and design) carefully evaluated the submissions in a two-stage selection process. Firstly, 33 nominees were selected from a large number of submissions, from which the eleven winners were finally chosen. Both the nominated and the winning products are displayed in an exclusive exhibition in the foyer of Hall 5.1 for the entire duration of Light + Building. The entries, which cover all product groups at Light + Building, demonstrate the broad spectrum of innovations in the industry. In addition, the entries from various countries emphasise the international significance of the award and highlight the global outreach and influence of Light + Building. Applicants had the opportunity to submit their innovative solutions in four categories: Light + Creation PLUS, Sustainability + Efficiency PLUS, Smart + Connectivity PLUS and the newly introduced Sustainable Exhibition Stand category. Five winners were selected in this category, demonstrating outstanding achievements in the field of sustainable stand design. By introducing this category, Messe Frankfurt is emphasising its responsibility as a trade fair organiser in terms of supporting sustainable events.
