merson’s Test and Measurement business will support educational programmes at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom delivered by Cranfield University. Emerson’s NI Test & Measurement technology will support the education and training of defence and security personnel on testing modern radar systems, by giving students access to advanced test technologies and hands-on instruction from highly qualified defence experts.

Defence engineers operate in very complex electromagnetic scenarios while navigating an increasing level of technological disruption. The NI Test & Measurement technology is expected to serve more than 100 students annually, educating trainees on advanced simulation and measurement technologies. Classes will cover how to prototype new concepts, emulate realistic threats, and analyze the performance of

systems and equipment before deployment. The laboratory includes Emerson’s NI Vector Signal Transceiver Hardware Architecture and NI Radar Target Generation Software.
