NEW EASYTEC FLANGED ENCLOSURES FOR SENSOR ELECTRONICS
O
KW has launched EASYTEC, a new range of flanged plastic enclosures for modern
sensor electronics. It can be mounted quickly and easily on poles, pipes or flat surfaces. Robust and IP-rated EASYTEC is designed
to survive industrial environments – either indoors or outdoors. Applications include IoT/IIoT, sensor systems, security and monitoring, IT, control, environmental, medical and laboratory technology. EASYTEC offers a high degree of stability.
Its flat base has a curved recess that makes the enclosure easy to mount on poles. Integrated mounting flanges have holes for panhead screws and apertures for cable ties. The top section is soft contoured for optimum ergonomics. Internal screw pillars in the top and base mean each enclosure can accommodate
two PCBs. The housings are assembled using tamperproof stainless steel Torx screws – perfect for medical electronics. EASYTEC is available in two plan sizes (80 and 100) and two heights – giving a range
of four sizes from 101 x 50 x 22 mm to 121 x 62 x 31 mm. OKW

WHY IS BALANCE AND SCALE CALIBRATION IMPORTANT?
M
ETTLER TOLEDO has developed a library of knowledge and resources to answer these
fundamental questions:
1. What is calibration and why should I calibrate? 2. What are the benefits of balance calibration? 3. How often do I have to calibrate my balance and what are the risks of not calibrating? 4. Which tolerances apply to balance calibration? 5. Is there a difference between calibration and adjustment? 6. My scales are legal for trade, do I still need to calibrate? 7. Why is measurement uncertainty so important? 8. How do I ensure accurate weighing results? 9. Why is it a risk to use non-calibrated Instruments? 10. Why is METTLER TOLEDO – The Right Calibration Partner? 11. What is the correct way to handle test weights? 12. Is routine testing needed between calibration intervals?
Behind each question, you will find a selection of white papers, guides and webinars relating to the calibration of your weighing equipment.

KEEPING COOL IN A HOT ENVIRONMENT RHEINTACHO FP SPEED SENSORS IN USE FROM -40 °C TO +160 °C (-40 °F TO +320 °F)
The completely newly developed series of sensors for the rotational speed and direction detection has the following additional technical data:
• High-tech plastic sensor with 90° phase shift • Insertion depths: 35 mm and 45 mm • Protection class: IP65 • Standstill detection (from 0 Hz) • High temperature resistance
With the sensor electronics used here, the FP series offer reliable signal detection already from zero speed.
The electronics are based on the 2-channel Differential-Hall principle and are suitable, for example, for applications in the fields of electric drives and forklift trucks.
T
he FP series of speed sensors are especially suitable for use in environments with extreme temperature loads, e.g. encapsulated motors or installation situations with limited heat exchange.
Due to the intelligent and modern electronic design, mechanics and electronics are very well suited to withstand extreme temperature loads.
This was verified with a long-term high temperature test in which the sensor was exposed to temperatures up to +160 °C.
January 2020
In developing this new series, the Freiburg-based sensor manufacturer is relying on the FK sensors that have already been successfully used in numerous applications for many years. Optimizations in terms of housing geometry, materials and electronics design offer potential customers a high degree of innovation and performance while maintaining the successful and reliable concept of the FK series.

PORTABLE COMPRESSED AIR PURITY ANALYSIS NOW WITH ISO 8573 COMPLIANT PARTICLE MEASUREMENT
with a new particle sensor to provide particle measurement fully in line with the requirements of ISO 8573-4. The S600 measures particles from 0.1#m to 5.0#m, dewpoint from -100ºC to +20ºC and residual oil vapour from 0.003mg/m$ to 10.000mg/m$ for compressed air supplies from 3 to 15 bar. Come and see this unit operating live at Air-
S
Tech 2020 at stand AF104 from the 21st to 23rd April. See how easy it is to use and observe the practical benefits of this highly portable analyser to deliver accurate measurements quickly. The same particle sensor is also available as a standalone unit in the S132 model with
touchscreen display and integral datalogger and there is also a wall mounted version of the S600 portable analyser, the S601 for continuous monitoring.
