FARNELL WINS TWO PRESTIGIOUS AWARDS FROM KEYSIGHT

eysight Technologies has awarded Farnell two prestigious awards for its business expansion and marketing excellence, making it the only European high-service distributor to earn multiple awards from the company in 2025. Keysight, a global innovation partner providing design, emulation, and test solutions, commended Farnell for its exceptional efforts and success in repre- senting Keysight’s products and services in the market.

Kari Fauber, vice president of Global Partner Sales & eCommerce at Keysight presented the awards to Farnell in recognition of the compa- ny’s outstanding contributions. Fauber said, “Keysight awarded Farnell the Business Expansion Excellence Award in recognition of their results in expanding coverage for Keysight’s products in India. Keysight and Farnell’s partnership combines Farnell’s industry-leading reach and strong marketing programs with Keysight’s broad portfolio of distribution products and team- work at all levels of engagement.”

The Business Expansion Excellence Award recognises Farnell’s successful expansion into the Indian market during FY24. Farnell became an authorised Keysight partner in India, where the company made significant investments, including building dedicated stock for the region, appointing a Business Development Manager (BDM) to spearhead Keysight sales, and executing a comprehensive marketing plan to raise awareness across the Indian market. Farnell’s strategic efforts have led to an impressive 25 per cent year-over-year growth in sales of Keysight products in India since the beginning of Farnell’s FY25. Andrea Dodini, senior director of Global Marketing at Keysight said, “Farnell was recognised for Marketing Excellence at Keysight’s Partner Executive Forum 2025. Their strong collaboration in launching and creating awareness for the new HD3 oscilloscope, with 14-bit resolution and low noise floor, has signifi- cantly benefited customers in the automotive, wireless, aerospace & defense, digital applications, and power analysis sectors.”

The Market Excellence award highlights Farnell’s exceptional partnership with Keysight in introducing new product introductions (NPIs), most notably the successful launch of the HD3 oscilloscope. Farnell’s targeted marketing initiatives and remarkable return on investment (ROI) have set the company apart from other partners.

“These prestigious awards from Keysight are a testament to our team’s hard work and dedication, as well as the strong partnership we have developed with Keysight,” said Andrew Weatherill, vice pesident of Global Product at Farnell. “Our focus on customer-centric strategies and our commitment to expanding into new markets have been integral to this success.” Farnell is excited to continue building on this momentum and further strengthening its partnership with Keysight, providing innovative solutions to customers globally.

n average, Endress+Hauser filed a patent every working day last year. The family-owned company holds an annual Innovators’ Meeting, where it presents awards in recognition of the people behind these inventions. This year, for the first time, the event included an award for sustainable product development. Last year Endress+Hauser filed first patent applica- tions for 285 inventions. In other words, its employees generated an average of one invention per working day. The company was granted a total of 701 patents in 2024. This figure exceeds the number of first filings because the inventions were ultimately registered with multiple patent offices. The Endress+Hauser Group’s portfolio of intellectual property rights now includes over 9,000 active patents and patents pending. Endress+Hauser employees who contribute to a patent application – and last year there were over 430 of them – are invited to the company’s annual Innovators’ Meeting. This is primarily an opportunity for inventors to network and share ideas. But it is also an awards event – a time to celebrate high-output inven- tors and the innovators behind improved processes and the most commercially successful inventions.

This year’s Innovators’ Meeting was held at the home stadium of German Bundesliga football team SC Freiburg. “Innovation is a team sport,” Endress+Haus- er’s director for IPR Dr Christine Koslowski told the assembled employees in a nod to the venue. And she had the numbers to back this up: “Ninety-one percent of all innovations generated in 2024 were a team effort. This is an important part of our culture of innovation, which is passed on from our experienced colleagues to new employees.”

At the Innovators’ Meeting, Endress+Hauser presented its first ever award for eco-design and circular economy. “We want to make our product development even more sustainable,” explained Dr Andreas Mayr, chief operating officer at Endress+Hauser. “And that’s why we’re presenting awards for inventions that combine our measuring instruments’ exceptional functionality and reliability with a resource-saving and eco-friendly approach.” The awards went to teams whose product developments delivered measurable gains for sustainability. The winning innovations included electronics and housing designs that enable significant energy and material savings and hence reduce the company’s carbon footprint.

Endress+Hauser actively encourages all employees to put forward ideas for inventions and improve- ments. “Every single innovation helps us develop as a company and offer even greater value to our customers,” said Andreas Mayr.

The Endress+Hauser Group’s spending on R&D in 2024 totaled over 275.6 million euros, or 7.4 per cent of sales. The company has more than 1,300 employees working in its product development departments, and last year it brought no fewer than 81 new products to market.
