FULLY INTEGRATED PROXIMITY PROBES FOR IMPROVED RELIABILITY
monitoring specialists SENSONICS now includes their fully integrated PRI Series. Building on their established Senturion proximity probe range, the PRI Series offers a single probe assembly solution with direct processed outputs which eliminates the need for a separate driver. Recent design enhancements have
T
resulted in improved performance for less demanding OEM applications with operating temperatures up to 120ºC such as; industrial gearboxes, pumps fans, blowers and hydro-generator applications. Meanwhile the 180ºC rated standard XPR04 probes with separate drivers would be suitable for use on higher temperature machines such as turbines. Proximity probes play an important role in machine shaft vibration, position and
speed measurements, providing operators critical information on the rotating plant dynamic performance and bearing condition.

COMPACT, HIGH-DEFINITION THERMAL SCIENCE CAMERAS
high-definition thermal science cameras have been designed for a wide range of industrial, military, science, and product research and development (R&D) applications. The A8580 series includes four mid-wave infrared (MWIR) models as well as a long-wave model that provides better uniformity and stability than other, similar LWIR cameras. These 1.3-megapixel cameras record blur-free images of high-speed targets, offer a wide range of precision, manual and motorized lenses, and integrate seamlessly with the new FLIR Research Studio thermal analysis software – to provide users with a high-end experience in a compact, easy-to-use device.

recalibrated on a regular basis. Our manufacturing facility is fully capable of confirming performance of field units to original manufacturer’s specifications, providing a certificate of performance that is traceable to recognised international standards. In addition, Sherborne Sensors welcomes the opportunity to calibrate servo-based inclinometers / accelerometers as well as load cells (depending investigation) from other manufacturers as well. In addition to recalibration services, Sherborne Sensors offers our customers the option to repair units

that are damaged in the field. As part of this process, prior to initiation of any work, Sherborne Sensors provides our customers with a detailed analysis of the unit’s performance, the root cause for the unit’s inability to meet factory performance specifications, and a firm fixed cost for the unit’s repair. We will also advise our customers if a unit cannot be economically repaired, and instead requires replacement.

SERIES DP3 WIRELESS LOW DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE MODULE
auto-ranging differential pressure module ideal for low flow air applications. The Series DP3 is used in conjunction with the Dwyer Mobile Meter® application software and connects directly to most Android® phones via Bluetooth up to 15 metres away. The DP3 allows for the fast and easy measurement of pressure; and velocity pressures when used in combination with pitot tubes or air flow stations. Offering an accuracy of 0.5% FS (+/- 2.5kPa), however the Auto ranging allows Full Scale measurement down to 25Pa. The rechargeable battery gives up to 10 hours operation and is rechargeable via a female mini USB. The single multi-function button allows for simple on/off operation and data logging. The Series DP3 is not position sensitive and the robust construction allows the DP3 to survive a fall from 3 meters.

HERAEUS PLATINUM SENSORS JOINS ATC SEMITEC LINE-UP
A
TC Semitec, the UK’s leading distributor of temperature sensors, has announced
that the Heraeus Nexensos’ range of platinum sensors has joined their line -up of precision thermal components. Heraeus are the worldwide market and technology leaders in platinum thin film technology. Robin Savin ATC Semitec’s MD
commented ‘We are delighted to include the range of Heraeus platinum sensors within our portfolio. It is a perfect fit which complements our current range. Heraeus M Series Platinum Sensors
With our involvement across many different industries we see an increased demand
for sensors at temperatures of 500°C and above. This being particularly relevant in the industrial probe sensor, automotive and 3D printing markets. Thin film platinum RTD elements are now extremely cost effective compared with
other RTD sensing technologies, and due to their key characteristics of high precision, stability, repeat ability and interchangeability, we see opportunities for even greater use within the UK and Irish markets.’
