Engineering, I am happy to say I have learnt so much from these past two months, I am so excited to see what else is in store for my time as a part of this magazine. I am glad to have had the opportunity to speak to a lot of you, I have had some great discussions. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me, whether it’s about discussing editorial, or to speak further about the topics we have discussed. This month we look at a number of fascinating features, of which I specifically have taken a keen interest in Smart Buildings and IoT. The idea that smart buildings can be used to change the environmental status of homes for the better, is an incredible reflection of
Electronical Engineering’s sustainable future. The hope that we can live in a time where homes and other buildings can run on net-zero emissions means that not only is the environment grateful, but our pockets are too.
In this issue, I also had to opportunity to stretch my interviewing muscles when I spoke to two young engineers, on how apprenticeships are growing in popularity as more people are opting for that route as opposed to a university education. I look forward to you all having a look at this month’s issue, I hope it is as fascinating for you to read as it was for me to create! Enjoy,
