Here at the NHS Business Services Authority, what we do matters. One of the ways we make a difference is through our Student Services – responsible for administering student funding (in the form of the NHS Learning Support Fund for nursing, midwifery and many allied health professional courses), the NHS Bursary for students in their fi nal years studying to become a doctor or dentist, and Social Work Bursaries for students studying social work at university. We are one of seven regional services established by the NHS Genomic Medicine Service (GMS), each responsible for coordinating genomics for part of England. Through the work of the GMS, the NHS will become the fi rst health service in the world to embed genomics into routine care. Genomic medicine is a growing and dynamic fi eld that needs skilled professionals at every stage: nurses, midwives, GPs facilitating initial patient conversations and counselling on genomics, through specialist clinical geneticists and genomic counsellors, to genomic laboratory testing and clinical diagnostics, data analytics (bioinformatics) and exploratory genomic science.

Not Going To Uni showcases the alternatives to the standard university route, supporting young people in fi nding future careers, ensuring they have the knowledge to understand all options available to them. We work with a variety of Enterprise Employers, Training Providers, FE colleges, Gap Year Providers and SMEs, advertising their early careers vacancies to our audience. We are on a mission to change the way that young people engage with brands and discover their future careers. We work closely with schools, colleges, careers advisors and our team of NGTU Ambassadors to drive awareness of the fantastic alternatives to university.
