AMG GT S ROADSTER
Mercedes-AMG has added a third roadster to its growing family of exciting open-top sports cars. Thanks to numerous modifications to the engine, suspension, brakes, design and interior, the new AMG GT S Roadster is even more dynamic than the AMG GT Roadster, and slots in below the range-topping GT C Roadster. The new model’s AMG 4.0-litre, V8 biturbo engine delivers 522 hp and 670 Nm of torque, enabling it to sprint from 0-62 mph in just 3.8 seconds. The Roadster also features a lightweight aluminium spaceframe, seven-speed dual clutch transmission, a rear axle locking differential and sports suspension with aluminium double wishbone axles.

Classic anniversary
The Mercedes-Benz Classic Centre in Germany is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Opened in Fellbach, Germany, in 1993 with the motto “The utmost originality”, it has set standards as an unrivalled centre of excellence for maintaining the originality and authenticity of the brand’s classic vehicles. The Centre’s services include vehicle restorations for both private customers and ALL TIME STARS, the classic car trading arm of Mercedes-Benz, the
supply of original replacement parts, and support for Mercedes-Benz Clubs worldwide. In addition, the Centre’s experts also look aer around 1,000 classic vehicles owned by Mercedes-Benz itself, 160 of which are at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart. Some of these make regular appearances at events such as The Goodwood Festival of Speed and the “1000 Miglia”, which follows the route of the famous Mille Miglia road race.
This is the Mercedes-Benz EQC, the company’s first car to be designed from the outset as an all-electric vehicle. Its recent reveal follows gruelling winter trials in Scandinavia at -35 degrees Celsius, and searing summer days on Spain’s Iberian Peninsula where temperatures can hit 50 degrees Celsius. By the time of the model’s launch, prototypes and pre-series versions of the EQC will have covered several million kilometres during testing across four continents. The test programme comprises more than 500 individual tests. Like all Mercedes Benz vehicles, the EQC must pass the demanding standard test programme but engineers have also devised special tests for the electric powertrain, the battery and the interplay of all powertrain components.
