Van de illegale raves in Amsterdam tot het epicentrum van de internationale Techno scene, de reis van OGUZ wordt gedreven door de kracht van elektronische muziek. Hij vertelt over zijn eerste herinneringen van de dansvloer, hoe die momenten zijn pad hebben gevormd, en hoe zijn dubbele rol als raver én DJ hem hebben gemaakt tot de artiest die hij nu is.
“Ik maakte kennis met elektronische muziek in de underground scene van Amsterdam. Van jongs af aan werd ik aangetrokken door de beats en de energie van de illegale raves. Het voelde als thuiskomen. Terwijl ik opging in de dansvloer, trok het podium me altijd. Ik kon niet weerstaan aan de drang om die momenten te creëren, om de energie van de nacht vorm te geven.
Die dubbele rol als feestganger en artiest heeft mijn muzikale reis diep beïnvloed. Ik blijf de passie voor feesten koesteren, omdat het me verbindt met mijn publiek. Het is die verbinding die mijn creativiteit voedt, waardoor ik ervaringen kan maken die niet alleen gehoord, maar ook gevoeld worden. Mijn vroege dagen op de dansvloer hebben me geleerd wat mensen echt raakt, en dat leidt me terwijl ik door het uitgestrekte en altijd veranderende landschap van de elektronische muziek navigeer.”
DE ODYSSEE BEGINT

“Ik ben razend enthousiast om mijn fans op de hoo- gte te brengen van alles wat eraan zit te komen. Mijn album staat bovenaan de lijst, en het is niet zomaar een project. Het is een sprong vooruit in mijn muzikale reis, een diepe duik in de kern van wat ons als mens drijft.

From a young age, I was captivated by the pulsating rhythms and the communal energy of the illegal raves. It was a world that felt more like home to me than anywhere else. Yet, even as I revelled in the collective experience of the dancefloor, I felt a pull towards the stage. The desire to curate those moments, to be the architect of the night’s energy, was irresistible.
This dual identity as both a raver and a creator has profoundly shaped my musical path. Remaining an avid raver at heart keeps me deeply connected with my audience. It’s this connection that drives my creativity, allowing me to craft experiences that are not just heard but are felt. My early days on the dancefloor have instilled in me an understanding of what truly moves people, guiding me as I navigate the vast and ever-changing landscape of electronic music.”
